Question about Summoners

Hello all, I had somehitng nagging on my mind all day.
What summoners of each race including dawrfs (count WS as a summoner atm) Have aoe summons? What is the name of these summons? And last but not least How good is each aoe summon compared to other aoe summons?

i beleave there areonly 2 aoe summoners
WS which is technically a hybrid summoner
and the other dude with the horse (sorry dont know summoners well)

the WS summon (big boom) used to be the best because of the damage but the horse would kick its *** now

both are a pain to use because if the summon dies it will drop the whole train on the summoner

the horse has an advantage because while big boom is designed to die as it aoes, the horse is meant to survive while nukeing

ES unicorn marrow is the horse, its got an AOE attack called hyroscrew. It hasn't been nerfed as much as other AOE so still pretty effective from what i hear.

PS has a summon called Soulless which has got AOE poison and an AOE corpse burst. I just got my soulless SB so will be testing him out 2nite.

Hey guys i appreciate all your answers and hope people continue to state their onpinions on my post but i do have a question regarding totukumiSushi's post. According to what i have heard the two best in terms of aoe are ES and PS. Now i have seen the unicorn marrow in action but have never seen the souless aoe with corpse burst. I was wondering how good is the souless at aoe in comparison with the unicorn marrow? Thanks again all :cool:

Nowhere near as powerful and actually rather inconvenient to use especially if you have a BH with you.

If you think about it, you have your answer right there. You don't, and won't, see it because it's a horrible tactic. :eek:
I'm not joking. Poison Cloud is a damage over time which will not kill your foes before they kill you. Corpse Burst requires a fresh corpse...and if they're already dying to an AoE party, it's all over but the /pickup spam.

Incidentally, the two non-crappy options would be ES' Merrow and WS' Big Boom...and I'd say the former is the winner, no question.

Boom is the reason the limit was made and it DOES have a 20 mob limit.

And merrow has no limit for sure :)

Soulless doens't have a limit either. Not that it's that useful, just a point of interest.

hey agian guys thank you all for answering my questions. Since no one has mentioned it yet i wanted to know what attacks did a nightshade have and what is its function? Thanks :)

Nightshade has no significant attacks.
It has a version of sacrifice (gives it's HP to target) and it can do a version of hate.

Nightshade is an excelent healer and a great pet for PVP but don't expect to be rolling in the kills.

So i wouldn't say soulless's poison AOE is any good. My poison cloud 2 does more damage. I haven't used corpse burst that much cos Soulless can't tank. If i make him tank i have to heal him and with the mana drain debuff he casts, I don't have enuff mana to heal him after every mob. Merrow is your best bet for AOE

Merrow is definently the best AoE summon :)

Especially for powerleveling :P
