All EE/Prophet buffs last 20 min. Now somebody is going to come and say that they don't, but that person will be wrong, and I will call him an idiot later.
If fighting magic:
magic barrior
resist local element
If you use a shield:
Shield buffs
If fighting undead:
Holy weapon
If you are melee that uses spells:
acumen/zerk
Magic buffs:
Always:
shield/ww/acumen/zerk
Same situational as above, but never use holy weapon.
For EE:
You don't have that many buffs anyway, just throw them all ont here. Of course don't use shield buffs if you don't have a shield and don't use melee buffs for mages, or bag if you aren't overweight.
Hes a new player thinking of making a 2 box for his fighter ;)
If you havnt played the game that long you cant really know how long buffs last or if all buffs last the same
How mean, call someone an idiot for saying something different LOL Actually he's right thou, kinda. When your a Prophet and you buff the duration time starts at 19minutes & counting.. Ya it is basically 20 minutes, so you should make sure to try & rebuff the group as soon as the buffs get down to 2 minutes left.
And you're right Shrimpstoo. After getting the "newbie" buffs, which last 1 hour, I wondered if some lasted longer than the 20 minutes I was getting from my self buffs.
And also wanted to decide if I really wanted to 2 box with 2 new characters. Gotta split exp, though we do get 30% extra to split.
If you dont mind paying for 2 accounts a month, 2 boxing is a deffinate +++
You might not notice it at lower levels, but further on, if you have a 2 box buffer, it will make all the difference. Even if the xp is shared between the two toons, with decent buffs, you will make MUCH more xp than you would alone. And if you 2box, you wont have to relly on someone else to be there when you want to play.
PS: Give me 5 start rating cause I was right ;) :D
You can call me an idiot, but the Eva saint (ee) buff prophecy of water is 5 mins.
<- will never call someone an idiot, even if they are wrong. But I think your rigth on this.
However keeping it in context, hes a new level toon making a 2 box. I highly doubt he will make lvl 76 soon. And by then, he should know the game :D
EDIT: Ty SirElrohir , youve got a 5 too. Cause you make me laugh time to time on forums
You can call me an idiot, but the Eva saint (ee) buff prophecy of water is 5 mins.
oh my sweety... you even made the distinction i was going to make when somebody brought up PoW and PoF. See... a Eva Saint isn't an ee... and in this topic he asks about 2nd class change. There is no need to confuse the poor guy... since the person is what? 1x?
btw I wont have to call you an idiot cause u did atleast make the distinction between 2nd and 3rd class change... however the op wasn't asking about 3rd class change toons. :)
Ok, sorry but I got too. Pot calling the Kettle Black here. You are an Idiot.
As an EE, and being only 47 so far, I have WW2, Might, Shield, Blessed Shield, Mental Shield, Agility, Holy Weapon, Regeneration, Concentration, Resist Poison, Weight Reduction, Kiss of Eva, and resist shock.
As a Prophet at 47, you would have Might, Shield, Acumen, Concentration, Kiss of Eva, WW, Focus, Holy weapon, Mental Sheild, Resist Fire, Bezerker Spirit, Regeneration, Blessed shield, guidance, Bless The Body, and Bless the Soul.
As you can see, Prophet does have a lot more buffs then an EE. However, once the Prophet reaches mid 30s, they no longer can heal effectively. Buffs are great, don't get me wrong, but if you can't heal your other character, whats the point in boxing in the first place.
You might like the buffs, but when you get into some crap with 2 to many adds, you going to Party return all the time? Spending more time getting back to the spot where you were and so on and so forth.
If I was the OP, I would forget EE and Prophet and make a SE. They get the best of both worlds. They get better heals (more heals) then the EE and get similar buffs as the Prophet (minus the HP/MP buffs). Since the SE can heal, it negates the need for having a HP buff.
hmm, which one would you rather have when someone trains you (becuase they mistake you for a botter, or you didnt buff them, etc.), PR or VR? sounds like a pretty easy choice.

Prophet does not have PR, and rearggroing the train on the Prophet, then making the first toon do SoE and then Prophet do Return is not an easy task for 2-boxers.

Frankly, lvl 47 Prophet's heals are no worse than yours (can even be very slightly better). The next level will change this, but one should not expect excellent heals in 2-box setup anyway.
yes, no worse then an EE heals, but an EE has to wait for 48 to get new single target heal. An SE gets new group heal, single target heal at 40 + some cool buffs.
I kind of wished I had made an SE first. I'm finding leveling an EE without a boxer impossible. No one wants an EE, unless that EE has a SE in their pocket.

An SE does not get new heals till 48 (if we don't count VR 2 at 44 as a new heal).

You have a bad attitude for a Light Elf, which is your main problem. You could still make a good SE, though.

I don't know where you got that but an SE gets greater heal and greater group heal at 48 at the same lvl an EE gets greater group heal.
Only bishops get greater heals from lvl 40.
Also most people are incredibly picky and stupid, EE's can be great healers and buffers to both melee and mages but especially as a second buffer to archers. I know it's hard to get groups as an EE and they still deserve a boost but people are just so sorthsighted "[censored] you haven't got VR or zerk -.- you sucks I dun wanna party with you" sigh....
For EE:
You don't have that many GOOD buffs anyway

sry mate... fixed it for ya.
good buffs an ee has: ww2/might/shield
The rest are ALL situational, and only good depending on where you are fighting and what melee class u are... I love how you listed resist poison/regeneration/kiss of eva... they are VERY important in lvling afterall... I forgot about them... I don't know how I could do that... I usually wouldn't leave town without them.
An ee has backup buffs for certain situations, but when it comes to a buff bot... he doesn't have many buffs that are of any use.
well i box a dwarf and a BD...not an easy combo to box but i'm a super start at it, i use swift atk pots and haste pots (20min duration) and then song of fire from my BD (2 min)
so i'm constantly switching...don't really try this though untill you've boxed a prophet or SE...get the hang of it first :)
PS: Macros are your friend, my BD has a whole hot bar of macros when i box. once you learn how to use a marco right...you're set in the world of boxing

I agree here, I was looking at it wrong. However, at 48 an SE gets a improved group heal and an improved single target heal while the EE gets 2 single target heals, one being Vitalize. Which makes then just as good as an EE, or close to it as far as healing is concerned, then you have the "wanted" buffs from an SE that an EE does not have.

I dont have a problem with my EE at all. My problem and complaints was meant toward those who don't want an EE in their team.
I love my EE. I will be playing her for a long time to come. I just recently started a second account, make a melee to box with my EE. Only because I got tired of shouting for 6 hours straight for a team/raid every day for 2 weeks.

Group heals are for bigger groups sharing damage or for slower casters. You have fast reliable Sleep, you have fast Wind Shackle, and spamming GH/Vitalize combo is a lifesaver that does not burn your mana pool too fast. You are a much better emergency healer than an SE, you are a much better crowd controller, you can make you group level safely in more places than an SE. And don't underestimate your Regeneration buff.

They should not want "an EE" in their team. They should want you. EEs (as well as Bishops and tanks), unlike most SEs, generally are not "plug interchangeable". You should be amazingly skilled, you should be nice, you should be helpful, you should be bold (as long as you know it is safe for others) and you should never whine. They should know that leveling in the group with an EE is fun. And they will love you.

Just shouting does not work. EE is a rare beast, noone knows how you could be useful. And of course you will help noone if you are trying to level yourself further not making friends and not showing others what your EE is good for.
Although I know it's not popular, I've been two-boxing my Spellhowler with my Elven Elder (sorry Nya!). Most people say do this with an SE. I have an SE, I've tried it and I still prefer the EE. Empower is great ... I love it and it does help kill things, but the EE has faster mana regeneration (for recharge) and much faster heals (for saving my butt when things go wrong).
My EE is now level 51 thanks to my SH. I'm really looking forward to Clarity with C5, I think that will make things even better.

From my experience many times emp makes the difference between 2 or 3 shot mobs. So I def prefer emp over faster mp generation. If have to rely on healing assist from your box you are hunting in the wrong spot anyways. I mean if you can 2/3 shot a mob they wont even have a change to reach you.
Well, if you never have to be healed, you are definately a better player than I am. When I play in the Catacombs or Necropolis, when breaking a room or in one of the smaller rooms, I absolutely have to be healed...and yes, sometimes Emp does make the difference between 1 and 2 shotting, but I find that I run out of mana with my SE and not with my EE.
