A Material Question.

Hi guys,

So recently via raiding I have got myself litterally tonnes of assorted blades/staves/edges. Using the item part of the library it seems I have enough in some cases to make the actual item.

However, I am lacking in the core materials mainly Varnish, stem, suede, bone etc.

Now, if I was to create a Dwarf and spoil on NG (Using my De's retired top NG gear) mobs. How many of these mats would I expect to obtain in say.. 2 hours of spoiling?

Or, is it worth going down the manor route?

I find the manor system confusing beyond belief and utterly frustrating when you cannot sell back the goods. But if this is the best way I am willing to give it a go.

Also if I was to buy the mats, would I make any real profit on selling the finished article?

If you can hand in your crops before the cheaters, I think you'd have more success with manor.

What are they key mats you have? Generally you'd have trouble selling non-top items, unless it's a mid-grade+ weapon that hs a nice SA/armor with good bonus you can't get on top weapons/armor. If you can craft it cheap, you can maybe make money crystalising too.
Hmm if u take varnish with dwarf at low lvl maybe 40 maybe better when u find a mob that spoils it every time.
If u do manor depends on the buyback lets say its 100 per crop u might get 500-1000 or more in 2 hours.
When buffed and with help u might get even more.
The only hard thing is to get the seeds and trade crop back later.
I'm a low level orc and those things, the thread, skins, stems are stuff that I get drops on and have been saving. If you're on Devianne I'd be happy to sell some to you :)
noteing that you are "going bd"
i assume that those mats are for D or C grade items
in 99% of cases its not worth crafting them
what does going "bd" mean and was it me who was doing it?

No, he just clicked 'reply' on the last post, which was yours. He is replying to Glorian. 'Going BD' means "going to be a BladeDancer." That means he is not one now, so he is under level 40, so he is in D Grade gear. So the mobs he is getting drops from are probably dropping mats to D grade gear. Unless the mat is for a set-completion item, or the Top-D weapons, it is proabably cheaper to buy from the NPC than to craft (you can't buy the Top-D weapons or gear from NPCs.)
This is true.

Hmm not worth crafting, thats a shame but probably realistic having thought about it further and done the math. Thing is were too seel 29 Blades! :D

Thanks for the help guys,

G
