Soloing as an SE

Is it possible? I'm lvl 40 now and there isn't always someone about to lvl with (AOE, Raids etc).

Where can I go to solo at this lvl?
Yeah.. Very possible, not very effective.. Ger light armor, choose between a dagger or bow (crits FTW) or Duals, buff yourself and grind away.. Now, considering the amount of Melees looking for VR, or nukers looking for emp, you shouldnt need to solo unless you want to..
Sure its possible. Stick to melee, and get some hastepots to make the most out of your VR. I think i was doing the Hunterlicense quest. but i dont really remember. Duals and Daggers are fine choices.

Stick to the green mobs, and leave the stunners alone. If shamams hadent that awful snare spell, they would be my favorite targets. The Auraflare like spell they use in Meleerange doesnt hurt much even with not so good Jewels. :)

But duo or in a small group you are better of for XP. only for quests you practically have to solo.

Yes, you can solo at 40. But you really shouldn't have to.

Something to consider...

Use the time that you could be soloing to find a duo partner. Don't be limited by partners your level. You can duo with someone that is as much as 10 levels higher than you and you both will still make good xp for your level, depending on the mob.

This coming from someone who 2 boxes a 45 SE and a 56 BD.
if you solo/duo on dark red mobs w/ SE you will slice all the air around most (non-shield weilding) mobs unless you have +dex/doom light, nm*sls duals or the like.
you need green mobs to melee effectively, esp if you go dagger route even w/ guidance buff you will miss a lot unless duo w/ BD and inspiration (which is kinda a waste)
You can do undead in DV. Root / Disrupt Undead

You can level on yellows, whites and greens without having any accuracy issues with this duo. I don't use Dance of Inspiration. Just Fire and SE buffs. It's Hex and slash from there.
If you choose to solo, do the coin quest or the HV quest. You can kill shackles (undead in DV) or melee just about all of the 40ish mobs. The hunter's liscense quest is good, it gives you something to look at besides the slowly creeping xp bar while you level.

Side note: While you're soloing, open a party room: SE LFG/nuker to duo.

This is a great place if you have Holy Weapon put on ya, you can melee these mobs fairly quickly. If you have OEd weapon, they can go down in 2 shots of a nuke.

Go to Deathpass, take the first right into canyon. Skels are in the 42 - 45 range, further in the higher level.
i soled my se for abit when she hit 40
gotta say its a hell of alot easier than soloing a dwarf so go for it

i used a +3 2 handed sword with focus (cant remeber name but its top c)
if posible try and hunt magic mobs with close range nukes, generally those will do less damage than melee mobs and with mdef mastery it should be even lower
make sure you use alacricy potions to get the best out of VR and if you have some extra cash or are manoring you could even use GSAP's

if you get a good set of light armor (prolly plated leather) and throw a few +'s at it you should have zero down time until your high 40's
For Magic based Hunting with your undead nuke, you really need a good MAttack Weapon and BSPS. Melee doesnt drain your Manaresources so much, since your efficency with Healing spells is better than with nukes, and it isnt dependant on MAttack. You could throw in a SS here and then, to get a faster kill, but you could generally come away with not Top of the Line Equipment choices. And Windshackle is your friend you will see the difference in you HP bar.
Hastepots was the wrong term. Alacatricity pots are needed for faster Attackspeed wich results in higher Healthgain throug VR.

You could indirectly recharge higher level Spellhowler/Nekros, through healing their BtM Damage. So even such a constelation is good for both of you :)

Make a macro
/target <your name>
/useskill Battleheal
for tight situations.

Thank you all for your help, I will put it into practice and hopefully get up there on the lvling a little faster :)
