Hi Guys'Gals, Just wondering where all the AFK shops went in Giran/Dion on Erica, was there a mass banning or was it the update, or the tax mans caught up with the farmers :p
I noticed that too, all servers were light except Teon which was heavy, first thing i thought was a mass banning. BTW I saw you in town shouting for red soul crystal level 7 ;)
Ok well since you made the perfect title for an idea ive had for quite some time and this thread is dead.....
What if the taxes that each castle has on place of the towns they collect from would be loaded on to some wagon and then wheeled from the town to the castle. The more cities the castle collects from the more cities that have to be visited.
Now every (say friday) the wagons would leave the castle. As soon as the gates of the castle open the wagoon is seceptable to attack from non castle owning clans. The wagons of varried strength (depending on the castle the wagon would be increasingly strong, and this could also be enhanced through the Clan leader making some payments; increase speed, increase stamina, increase attack strength, increase carrying capacity) would head to the village on a set route that would be roughly determined by the clan leader the week before. The number of wagons sent could also be modified (throwing some chance into the game). The time they are realised can also be modifiedm however the wagons must enter the town before midnight of the set date otherwise the clan forfits theyre earnings and it is sceptable to theivery. Once the wagon reaches the village either some guards exit the wagon carrying a large trunk or the wagon halls right into town square where they meet up with the Manor Manager. There is either some exchange or the Manor Manager summons an entrance to a basement to the city. Nonetheless the exchange of both the Harvest and Taxes is made and the wagon pulls out of town either headed to another city or the castle (this depends on either: number of wagons sent out, the set route of the wagon or the carrying capacity of the wagon). Keep in mind that while the wagons were in town and doing the exchange they were still scepetable to attack as it is a town and the guards are mobs. However the local guards (which could also be increased through the Clan Leader) will aid in any assalts on the wagon. So from then on the Wagon(s) would be in great danger carrying lots of money and seeds. This is an idea to create some more competetion through Clans owning castles and those not, while also addining more piracy to the game :). Everyone loves being a rogue^^. This will hopfully balance The Seven Signs.
Area specific features:
Goddard. This should be one of the hardest to seige. The path is short but in order to conspinsate the wagon would have to do multiple trips because it would have low carrying capacity.
Innadril: This will be by far one of the most scenic with the option of going through some underwater caverns ^^ or just floating along. You could wait at either coast line to assalt the amphibian waagon or choose to chase it in the ocean, be warned as you would need a healer to keep you alive in the long swim and beware the sharks!
Giran: Expect a challenge! Driven by the market there will be many wagons to choose from. Choose right and reak the rewards choose wrong and meet your demise at the highly guarded Giran Castle.
Dion: With vists to Floran and Dion expected be prepared for a quick battle as this speedy wagon whisps about the hills.
Gludin: Expect to have fun with vists to the Wasteland, Abandoned camp and the Dreaded ruins ahead. Be weary of Talking island though because if you attempt to assalt the boat as it carries the money from TI to Gludin Harbour you will annoy many of the villagers and can expect to have a warming party when you return. Mess with the warf, deal with the villagers.
Aden: So many castle, so many villages so little time. In this feat you will have to chace down 3 wagons carried by wyverns. Your lucky though as this wagons are heavy and the wyverns grow tired easily. Several cheackpoints will be establised by the Clan leader for the wagons to rest, question is, where!
Oren: With vists to the sea of spores, IT and various starter locations expect a challenge. How is the Wagon going to get from DE village to LE village? A mini wyvern wagon or mabye a hidden passage way. What about a series of determined soilders lifting the case by rope over the steep hills. Not for me to decide now is it ;)
...
Yeah so thats my idea, hope it gets some recognition. I think itll form some kind of balance and itll be a lot of fun and worth it in the end. :)
