Party XP Distribution - What is the math?

Player Questions Started Last reply 9 posts
I was informed that the XP division in simple terms was as follows:

Player A's level = A, Player B's level = B

Player A's XP share = (A X A)/ ((A X A) + (B X B))

Hence a level 49 + level 74;

2401/7877 or 30/70

Then there is a factor added should the higher level be fighting Blue mobs..

What is this factor, I have been leveling a prophet and discovered that the XP gain by killing certain Deep Blue mobs was much better than some Green or White.

Is there a way to determine the optimum mobs...

and is getting 7-10% a buff round leveling a level 49 good?
There is also group XP bonus depending on the number of people in the group.
The party member's levels aren't squared before calculating your percentage of XP.

Player A's level = A
Player B's level = B

Player A's XP = A/(A + B)
Player B's XP = B/(A + B)

A party with two players (duo) get's a 30% xp bonus. See the following link for how the bonus works for more members:

Yes actually they are, have been since prelude. Helps keep you from powerleveing peoplel much lower than you since the ratio is much smaller.

Gotta link for that info?
Thanks
First 2 prima guides, i can also calculate it if you'd like though i'll have to look up the party bonus again.
It's in one of his posts...and honestly the Prima guide isn't the most reliable source, even though I think you have it right on this one.
Very little of the data in the prima guide is wrong except for changes for balance. And if you got the PDF it's actually still a decent resource.
what if the lower level player does more damage than the higher level? This seems to effect things...
