As an up and coming BH (almost level 72 now) I was curious to see if there was some formula that determined if a mob "turns blue." For example, I'm in the 70-80 rift festivals with a party of equal levelled people and I get the "Spoiled Successfully" message for many mobs. However MANY times the mobs just don't turn blue.
If there some sort of relationship to my level, mob level, buffs, or other fomula that affects the actual "blue mob spoil?" It's kinda hard explaining to some parties that the mobs "spoil" when there is no "blue."
A successful spoil only indicates that the mob is "spoilable", but whether it turns blue or not depends on the spoil rate of the items. If the mobs spoils EWAs, SOM recipes and Tallum Helmets, the rate is going to be very low. But if it's bone, thread and suede, the mob will turn blue almost every time.
I'm suprised you and your equal leveled groups don't already know this.
Well I figured it had something to do with the items, I wasn't expecting an EWA everytime I spoiled a mob. But I was just trying to see why some mobs consistently did NOT turn blue and the one time they did we got some random crap (some material). The reason I bring it up at my level is because in the past I was spoiling great. Blue a lot (TOI, Catas, etc) but it seems I have hit a plateau with very intermittent spoils. It's hard enough getting into parties with a BH and I don't wanna be booted because I "can't produce."
