You people don't know how to report bots.

I used to report bots 24/7. Now I don't have to. I used to go about it like this...

-Open GM Petition
-Type in "soandso is botting, please ban this player, thank you."
-Select "Report Bad User" ( or whatever its called ), and submit.

Well, that NEVER worked.


Since I started the game back up, I have been reporting bots, and every single one has been banned by the next day.

I go about it like this...

-Open GM Petition
-"Soandso is botting at windmill hill, close to the spiders, the class of this character is Dwarf female.
-Select "Report Bad User"
-Submit.



Ever since I've been reporting bots with very precise locations, they have been getting banned extremely fast.

I've noticed the same thing since coming back recently.

Sure all the petitions are automated now, but I get a response back in just a few minutes. It's not like I wanted to discuss with a GM why I think someone was a bot anyway, I just want them to go investigate.

I've never listed someone's class in a petition before, but extra information never hurts. The more information you give the less the GMs have to sift through before smacking them with the ban stick.

Yeah, because there's the stupid 255 character limit on the petition. You only get five petitions a day, those 5*255 characters aren't enough to even list the names of the bots I see, and I'm still supposed to mention they're bots too. If they want locations, they can open up the petition and ask me, I very rarely report any bots that aren't actively bothering me (because, you know, writing them ALL down would be too much of a pain in the ***).

how can a gm read :

HI i suspect the charecters IIiiIIi87djha, SchoZXier3s, HiImABotBanMe, and Steve are botting in Withces.

And not be like hmmm naaa they CANT be botting!

What server do you play on, I've petitioned a billion bots and i dont think they have so much as budged in about a year

The unwatched bots are easy to get, the manned ones not so easy.

I've taken to /gm them when they are in town just standing around buffing, on the off chance that the botter is afk at the moment and that the GM's are on the ball enough to test them before the botter gets back.

You can start as many petions as you feel like filing, if you use the 'Contct Support' button on the website.
