Black Swan Quest and the City of Heine

I went out and collected several of the fangs and barrels that Captain Gostas asks for. There is no set amount (i.e, unlimited for each item). When I try to turn them into Captain Gostas, he never accepts them, just says someting about the Duke paying well. How can I turn in the quest items and get the reward(s).

Also, I never could find any private stores, at least not on the Seigehart server. Am I missing something, or is nobody there.

Finally, it's a shame there are very few players in this area. It has some nice variety, compared to other places I've been to.
First, the person you hand the items in to is not the person who gives you the quest. You can find Jason Heine in the warehouse. talk to him to redeem your quest items. He will give you some bills that you can then trade at the Blacksmith in Heine for Materials and stuff.

And lastly, Heine is pretty dead except for questers and manor users...It's a dead end area, that costs a fair amount to get out of (or at least a long walk!) And for the most part, the various catacombs and such have taken the place of the "Garden of Eva" as a place to grind. A few people still grind in various areas (alligator island and such) but no one really sticks around. And thus no one sets up shop down there very often. My advice is to just hit Giran if you need something, and just hunt where you want to in the Heine areas otherwise.
I like heine just for that reason, its one of the best looking cities and has some really good looking areas. Not to mention parts of alligator island are fantastic for 2 shotting nukers and you can level fast.

Not to mention from 44-50 the pirates chest quest gave me 2 elven mithryl gloves one sages glove 10 c armor enchants and 10 d armor enchants...works for me
Yes, Heine is the best looking city !!!
A little too bright for my dark elven eyes :p, but it's really beautiful !
By the way, are there some Clan Halls there too ?
I just couldnt find any...
Thanks for explaining where to turn the items into. Your idea occured to me, but I wondered around and couldn't find the Duke or anybody else from the Heine family.

Can you tell mehow to get into the Garden of Eva. I tried once, but I was taking too long underwater and I died, mostly from Jellyfish attacks. I couldn't quite see where to swim to.

And I agree with everybody else, it's a beautiful city.
Did you use a kiss of eva potion? (bless of eva I think it's called. You can buy it in heine grocery shop).
There's an underwater path, so if you jump off at the most southern part of the continent, you should be able to find it fairly quickly. But it's a good idea to bring a friend. And/or healing potions :)

There are no clan halls in Heine.
I absolutely love Heine. The field of silence looks a bit weird though :/
Heine has some great quests for Alligator Island, even if the town is laid out like crap. I hate that town even if it's pretty. I made well over a mill just on the treasure map quest, and the EXP is awesome for a nuker. I'm actually surprised more people don't go there. GoE is completely empty though which is too bad, it's probably the best looking place in the game.
Don't forget to visit the Blacksmith in Heine regarding the Black Swan quest. I think you will be pleasantly surprised to find out that you can redeem some of the items for mats (crafted leather, stones of purity, etc.)!
OK, I'll assume from the one reply that I need that Kiss of Eva potion (or whatever it's called) to ward off the jelly fish poison. Thanks for the tip. Maybe with that, I'll be successful trying to dive and swim inside.

One more question: I am trying to find Locksmith Dorothy. She is supposed to be the starting NPC for a Quest called Method to Raise the Dead. I've wandered all over town, and can't find her. Does anybody know where she is?

Yep I went there yesterday for the first time ever in the few years i have been on L2. Very good looking area and that middle part seems that it might have a strong raid boss in it. Excellent looking place but the drops arent that great...then again its a horrible spot for bots with all the turns so at least you know you can almost always get an area in there.

Kiss of Eva Potions *only* increase your breath meter. For the Jellyfish your going to need Greater Antidotes if you get 'poisoned'.

To get to the Garden, just head straight down the underwater tunnel (there is only one path.) Until you get to the square room with the Jellyfish. (The tunnel stops here.) In the corner of the room is a hole in the floor. Swim down that hole into another room below. (A few sharks in here.) There is a corridor leading out of this room on one side. (I forget which side.) This corridor will head up at an angle and you will be able to walk out of the water shortly. The corridor will twist around a bit, then come to a ledge. You will need to drop of the edge into the pool of water below, then you are in the 'Garden of Eva'. (You will take damage from the drop!)

As for Dorothy, she is in one of the very corners of Heine. (The one near the DE trainers, unless my memory is completely shot.)
