Best D Polearm?

Is the Glaive the best D polearm? Most people are saying this although its P.atk is 92, the same as a one handed ELS. I would've thought there would be a D grade polearm over 100?
Yes, the Glaive is the best D polearm available. If you want a full list of equipment you can check the Items & Equipment section under The Library tab on this site.

If you're wondering why a polearm has the same attack as a one handed sword, it's because the polearm has a wider attack range than all other weapons in the game. As such it is the only weapon capable of hitting multiple enemies, and utilized correctly (especially with a party of polearms) can result in quick and efficient leveling.
TY. So instead of using a ELS and shield and kill one mob at a time I could use a Polearm and kill 2-3 at a time using the sweep skill?
If u r a dwarf u can use wide blow i think that is the name of the skill sweep is tied into ur spoil skill
Im a human warrior lvl 26. Also, where can I buy a Glaive? I dont see it in stores, only from other players...
i think u can only buy it from privite stores i am sorry i do not know the skill set for a human offhand for a pole i would check it out and if u have no skills for a pole do not get one
Going Warlord along the human warrior route would lead to the best polearm skills available in this game.

Anyway, there are a few ways you can obtain a glaive. In L2 once you get into top D equipment it's all about the player market from then on. As such the main way to obtain a Glaive would be to buy one, though that may be well out of your budget.

Another way to obtain a Glaive would be to have one crafted for you. To do this you'd need to find a dwarf with the recipe for a Glaive and have them set up a craft shop for you. You would need all the required ingredients to make a Glaive however, including specific parts for the Glaive as well as basic materials used in all recipes.

My suggestion though, would be to begin taking part in the next Seven Signs event. Through this event you can trade lower level D polearms into a Glaive using Ancient Adena earned from the event. You can even upgrade into C later on. You can also exchange different weapon types of equal power. For example if you had an Elven Long Sword you could trade that directly for a Glaive. These special exchanges are done through the Blacksmith of Mammon who wanders around the Catacombs dungeons. You'll need to be taking part in the event in order to meet him.

I'd suggest going to The Library on this site and reading up on Seven Signs. It's a lot of information to take in but it's an event well worth participating in. If you can't make heads or tails of it or just don't understand something specific, feel free to post any questions.

Edit: Made a correction about Mammon.
