Im not naming any names, but I kinda wonder how is it possible that a hero, which means you've put like a year or so into this game, doesnt know that there is 2 blacksmiths of Mammon :eek:

Not wanting to name anyone (yeah right, but I don't want to enjoy ban stick), you know how most of those so-called heroes got there. It gets funnier still, after they get hero, they want to be friends with everyone and practically kiss everyone in the hero chat - except each others', since they're too busy smacktalking and calling each other whatever ******ed names they come up at the time.
It's a good thing hero chat defaults to "off", if it were something I couldn't ignore, I'd probably have to deactivate my account just to save the few braincells I still have after having shout on for way too long.
Mhm.. that too (dont want to get banned etc :p ) but still.. its sad to see it. I mean.. its ok if you forget, but then someone reminds you, but that hero said "i DIDNT know there's 2 of them", which is different. I've been playing for almost 2 months now and even i know it so i cant really imagine how could you play 1-2 years without noticing that.. pff.. heroes :eek:
this goes for all of you guyz....Jalousi is a ugly thing....they can use the chat as they pleased as they have worked alot for it...so dont like the chat keep the Hero Chat off then...i like the Hero chat help me alot went i need Mammon or i had to look in every single Cata-Necro for mammon would cost hell of alot of Adena :P :cool:

Who has, who hasn't. And why would I be jealous of immature kids who throw horridly spelled inane insults at each other every day? I like to be in better company than that :P . Besides, the hero particle effect sucks.
That remember me one ex-clannie.He came to game and created new character in few weeks he managed to get to 52, next day (after he reached 52) was runing around in light doom with bop +14! And he was spamming clan chat with "I have BOP +14 ,but... how they made it so glowy?!" I just hope that all our "heroes" are not eBayers.
Please dont take it as Iam saying that this hero was eBaying.Its only sad that those guys bring real currency to game, its runining economy.
CSS on Teon cost 19a now! Just beause there is enougth people to buy it for that price... they just dont care.

Yea, and it's also ruining the fun, i mean, what's the point of playing a character you didnt levelled up yourself ? Or didnt get the gear for him/her yourself ?

In a single player game you can't brag to other people about how über you are, or can't "pwnz0r their [censored]". It's all about pointless bravado, in the end, the need to prove that you are "tough". And this requires audience.
I'm sure the hero status actually means something to certain people, just like some people still think the recommendation system serves some purpose. It's just sad that the whole hero thing is demeaned by these lazy children, moreso because now anyone reaching the spot by legit means earns the distrust caused by all the cheaters up there, for no fault of their own.
Then again, the lack of actual RP in L2 in general makes the hero system just one more super-gear grind target. I doubt any roleplayers on Teon are very close to achieving the required levels, since roleplayers tend to choose having fun in the game over being "teh l337 pwner".

I would guess that a big reason behind the rising prices of shots is the current tax rate in Giran - recently up to 10% :( That makes all the components needed for CSS a lot more expensive.
The hero status does means something to some of them, I've been recently talking to one of them and he also agrees that this hero-olympics system is just a big joke. Lots of heros indeed are powerleveled up there which is just sad. Too many arrogant ones up there who doesnt deserve the name of hero.
And as Grazzt said - true satisfaction comes when you know you have achieved it yourself, the gear you are wearing is your own hard work. But it seems its not like that for all players, too many enjoy the pwning and powerleveling and rest of the world, that makes lineage so amazing game, means little to nothing to them.
And i keep the hero chat open, maybe its self torturing to see that stupidness, but yeah.. i can say - "At least im not like that". And im glad about those very few ones, that deserve the title by doing lots of hard work.
