I am very near lvl 39 and desperatly trying to get to 40 to become a sorceror .......I love soloing but the only good grind lace I have found at my lvl so far is south of heine killing crokian and the other things there.
I was hoping someone could tell me of any other good , possibly better grinding places than my current one for a lvl 38 ......then some grinding places that are good specific to lvls 40 41 and 42. (I use blessed spirits Ds, having pay 55 to 59a on teon server (( )
I've asked this same question for both my Orc and my SE. I've come to the conclusion that there is no real definative area for any one class as it depends on your playing style. I've no doubt that there will be plenty of kind people in this community that will give loads of suggestions (they did for me) mine however, is although not ideal initially, have a look around more out of the way areas that you've never been to before. I've done this several times with my Orc and found places that I a) never even knew existed and b) found some great xp that I didn't think possible at my lvl.
Highlight the names, check what colour they are to you and throw some spells their way. Wander past the odd one here and there to check aggro and away you go. Most places you find this way you will also find will last you through several levels.
Probably not the ideal answer to your question but I hope you'll give it a go. Good luck with your next level, it's all worth it in the end. :)
Part of this will also depend on if you have any back up support and how good your gear is. For instance, the tunnel into the Garden of Eva (not the water area and not after the drop off but the actual tunnel) has some mobs weak to fire, Blade Stakato. They have double HP (which means double XP) so if you don't have support or really good gear this may not be a good area. There is a second mob that spawns in the tunnel, Nos, which is not vulnerable to fire but does not have any special magic resists. It is also two times HP.
So, though this place is great for some, it's not so good for others.
Let us know a bit more about your set up and I can maybe be more specific.
The fact that you need hunting ideas tells me that you haven't started your Class Change Quests yet. At 38 you can begin at least one of these quests. Do not wait until you are 40 to do all 3 quests. If you do, you will completely vaporize your brain.
The class change quests will actually take you to areas that are good for hunting at your current level, like Ivory Tower, Hunter's Village, the Gorgon's Garden just outside of Giran, and Oren.
I wish I could be of more help, but it's been years, literally, since I was a mage at that level. Ivory Tower was the best place for mages back then, along with Devil's Pass, but I'm not sure if that is still the case.
Leto's are a little high for pre 40 IMO, esp the overlords.
Actually the Leto Lizardman, Warriors, Shamans, Soldiers and Overlords should be right up his alley. They should be either white or yellow to him and two shot kills, depending on his equipment.
There are also Bloody Axe Elite in that area and just across the road, Timac Orcs types -- all low 40 mobs, if I recall correctly.
It may not be efficient to hunt any of these mobs at this point, but sometimes you choose a mob just because it's different than the mob you've been killing for the last 3 levels. :D

You can solo pretty good inside Ants Nest.
^^^ Hehe I have to kill 9 soldier ants in that place and went in solo because no one seemed to be near for grp .......I got debt twice ( . One of the reasons for this is probably because im still wearing the devotion set ....the thing is although I started another post about this well I need to kill 10 ant soldiers for my sorcerors test of trust quest and if any of you are on the teon server and can help me with this I would be eternally gratefull :-).......I really want this out the way but I cant sol in my equipment with that kind of aggro in there. Once I get the soceror quest done I reckon I can solo near the outside part ok.
You can find few Ant Captains on the surface of Wasteland a bit couth from nest entrance. Even though they are not listed directly, they drop the item you need for your quest.
There are only 2 or 3 of them, but they spawn quick. Meanwhile you can hunt Tyrants next to them :)
Hi, I'm a SH but wear similar, I hunted the Wyrms (drop Knowledge Gloves) outside dragon valley as there near Giran, so handy for selling stuff you get from drops. I found the easiest way to kill the mobs that are a bit hard for you, is nuke em twice, (I don,t use SS unless I need to), then sleep them, run back and hit them again. I use an overhit skill to suck the last drop of xp out :). I did my first 2 lvl changes at 38 then did the last one after I finished them. Getting from 39-40 seemed to drag!. Also do the coin quest once your 40, so you can get Demon Gloves, and buy the Tunic/Stockings from the luxury shop. You MUST play the market otherwise you will be BROKE!. Buy sell crystals/recipes anything you can get to generate moola. As you can guess I'm the only one left who does not, or ever will buy adena! :p luv cat
it's best to kill things you can one or two shot, with the second shot being an overhit skill. When you get a little higher the area north of ivory tower with the basilisks and gargoyles is GREAT for that.
