Recently I've noticed that my lag spikes are getting more frequent and of longer duration. Kind of like it was a couple of chronicles ago. My clanmates, as well as other players I've noticed, are all complaining more about the lag in recent weeks. No clue as to why though.
Yep, Lag is really bad. The game will pause for a few seconds or so, sometimes I will come back, and sometimes I will get DCed, VERY ANNOYING!!! I died a few times due to it...
this could either be related to the rumor of a buch of ncsoft staff in NA being laid off...which i emphasize is a rumor, and wouldnt hold on to that...or it could be with recent announcements of c5 and how its been realesed in korea already its altogether possible they are preparing for the huge download process and or they are too busy working on translating and such the actual c5....im sure the lag will pass and settle...but it always seems to pick up around times of new chronicles...

It's not a rumor. Did you not read the official announcement from NCSoft and related threads?
Anyway...yeah, the lag sucks. Fortunately for me, it comes and goes. When I get the lag, it's for a period of about 10 minutes, then goes away for a while.

translating or work on C5 doesn't involve use of major bandwidth at all....

I agree with this ^^ and Im glad to see im not the only one getting 10 to 20 min spells of lag .....I asked someone on the teon server today at the same place I was at if they were getting lag and they said no .......The thing is I am sitting here with a 10Mbit broadband connection and dont usually have lag issues in mob areas on the other MMOGGS I have played.......I am assuming teon(the server im on) is the only euro server? Its just its load is always heavy .........They really need to try and put up 3 european servers , for instance when there is server maintenance and I am on straight after reboot ))) the server is heavy within 1 minute of starting , thats something hehe
I'm currently on a dual load balanced 56mb/s connection.
I'm pulling information at insane speeds and i've got pings that are utterly beautiful. I even host servers.
And i'm not alone on the server as the massive lag spikes that are just never ending, are effecting others.
i'll be watching sitting.... and see roughly 90% of the people attempting to fight mobs and attempting to navigate through places having nothing but a hard time doing it.
i saw a guy die by mobs because he couldn't get the **** target at all to actually begin attacking. She was one right ****** of player.

^^ that happened to me 3 times a day or so back there and I got mass debt and went of in disgust and its nearly happened once tonight. For some reason I seem o get it worst south of heine >? or maybe its just ore apparent as thats where i grind just now and am so close to sorceror. I say this as it has happene regular in other places as well as critical game errors and dc 6 times per day
hehe another edit but just have to say that is one AWSOME connectiion you have ))) I would love to have access to that speed hehe.......lol its gonna border on embarrasing if a nc person says the problems at your end with yer connection!
