How much AA...

How much ancient adena would it take to upgrade my Goat Head Staff to a Ghost Staff?
On a semi-related topic, should I get the Ghost Staff to look different or the Staff of Life to be able to equip a shield.

If you don't PvP much go for whatever suits you. Shield for mages is pretty much strictly PvP since archer mobs die fast anyway.
Personally I don't see mages with shields and my Spellhowler isn't going to use one :P

480K AA! Well, better start grinding in the necros/catas.
I'm probably gonna get a Ghost Staff just to look different from everyone else.

as for AA, you're much better off buying it <.< grinding even as little as 480k can take ages.

3 days, using a dwarf with a glaive and a healer. But perhaps you mean *him* grinding.

Here's the formula to figure it out if you ever need to know for a differnt weapon.

Base price of the weapon you want, subtracted by the base price of the weapon you have. Then multiply the answer by 1.2

Ex:
Elven Long Sword: 1,800,000
Sword of Revolution: - 1,400,000
------------------
400,000
x 1.2
---------------
480,000

It's on daggers right now, but you can pick which you want. If it doesn't have the weapon you want, then find it's equivlent in a differnt weapon type since it's all the same price.

And remember that you can't upgrade to b grade or above!

I plan on staying in HC for a few more levels, so getting the AA shouldn't be that hard, as long as I have a decent party and/or buffs.

yesterday...but it was because he OE it and it crystallized :p tsk tsk and it was only going to plus 4 :p

just a note...get a shield if you high up like these guys said...
because...i attacked my clan leader (to see dmg) and i critted him(i'm fully buffed and he was too, and he's an SpS) and he had a successful shield block , and i still took all his cp and a bit of his hp, and he's lvl 75 and i'm only 68....so without his shield....2 shot i'm thinking
