I've been told repeatedly of "legit" players going from levels in their 60's on a main class, to noblesse about 2 months later. Can anyone tell me what legit means of leveling they are using, because I'm 2 years in on my main class, and just now getting within range of a first subclass. I play daily, and gain about 5-10% a day leveling (10% on weekend days). I lose about 12% overall in a week in pvp (1% loss per death, 50% rez from Aden clan hall).
Since you're a warsmith i suggest some AOE groups in AB. In cases like myself where you have a decently soloable character i could see that as POSSIBLE if you are hardcore.

As a spellhowler I have probably the best PvE class [OK I just opened myself up to flames...]. Typically I level in a duo with my SE since I want my SE to get to level 72 to support my (eventual) subclass [I want to have WM2 and VR4 for either necromancer or destroyer sub]. If I put my SE out-of-party, and if I go for pure XP and not adena, I can easily make 10%/hour (currently my SH is level 69). Now, this will drop as I raise levels unless I find mobs that give me more XP/kill with comparable kill rates (unlikely). Looking at the XP charts that have been published here is what I think is achievable:
69 to 70: 10%/hour -> 10 hours
70 to 71: 9.5%/hour -> 10.5 hours
71 to 72: 7.2%/hour -> 13.8 hours
72 to 73: 5.8%/hour -> 17.4 hours
73 to 74: 4.7%/hour -> 21.2 hours
74 to 75: 4.2%/hour -> 23.8 hours
For a total of about 97 hours to go from level 69 to 75.
Now, how long to go from level 40 to 69? I think this is quite a bit faster than 69 to 75 so lets say another 97 hours. That means for me to get to noblesse would be about 200 hours of pure XP grind - for me that's nearly 100 days since I average < 2 hours/day :( [Maybe I'll be there by Christmas time] But for a hardcore player on every day it seems doable in 2 months [25 hours/week].
So I think it is certainly possible to get noblesse in 2 months from a level 6x character with outside buffs.
I've had my bishop since early C1 and I just recently hit 75, and been working on stupid subclass quests for over a month now. But some people have more free time than me ><

Yeah, I've been dragging my feet on hitting 75 (and also have been a bit busy) as I am just not interested in any of the L2 quests, least of all anything that has to do with class changes or subclass.
Is there a walkthrough for the subclass quests? I have heard you have to kill 4 RB to sub. Is that true?
I've been told you do the following quests:
1> Supplier of Reagents - used in Mimir's quest
2> An Arrogant Search - used in Fate's whisper quest to visit Baium
3> Fate's Whisper - A grade weapon quest. This is the one you have to kill (?) 4 RB.
4> Mimir's Elixir
Stratics is missing Fate's whisper (I'm gonna make one), do a search on blah, great guides there for this subclass junk.
But yeah you have to kill (or at least just get the box when they die) Cabrio Longhorn, Hallate, and Kernon. Oh and stick baium with a knife! GL with th at, I'm 3 weeks running on that little bit of garbage.
I suppose if you have as much time as others do, it's possible. I haven't confirmed this for myself, but I've been told that there are hunting spots with very fast xp at higher levels.
I'll be lucky to reach level 70 on any of my characters by the end of the year. Subclass maybe by 2010.

tipicly, the new areas in godad are great XP spots. rune starts out at about 60ish, and moves into high 60's and low 70's. same for wall of Argo's (WoA)
Post 70 sillenos and the orcs are great. and the imperial tomb is all 75+++. the SoS..swamp of screams is about 66-76ish.(cept at night which has alot of guys 1/2 hp that where dark blue to my 76 sagittious on the PTS)
blazing swamp: 62-76. by the time you hit 77 only one mob is white and the rest blue to green. Better to hunt in godad.
This morning I made 33-36 in about 4 hours, but I had a few pvp's and the like. in a duo or soling in pilgrams. and a run or two to town. I also have a 72 SE to buff me tho. and I'm spaming Dss and haste pots on a +0 mithril dagger.

Howdy BDC,
Part of the reason is you've been an active PVPer - ya crazy dwarf. :) But I can tell ya, you're experience is on par. It took me two years to get to subclass on my BD main, and I don't even pvp!
If you can, party with a prophet for all those buffs, or have an SE with VR3 or 4 with ya. At your level (high 70s I believe) you can spend your time a couple of ways:
With a BD, Prop, SE:
Go to Dark Omens and find a room with those formerly bird-like mobs. I cant remember the name, but they are changed now into little dark floating things. :) On my BD main, I was partied with a SWS and we had the two buffers out of party while we pulled mobs to the hall. Not the most fun tactic, but we managed to survice quite easily. Set a goal for each night - not XP, but hours. We would do about 5-6 each weeknight and about 8-12 on weekends. That wasn't non-stop, as we took breaks and such cause our brains wanted to explode.
With SH:
Again, having the buffs you need out of party is the key, but a SH is one of the best leveling classes to duo with in the game. You do the pulling and they nuke.
With only a prophet or SE:
If they are lower lvl than you, keep them in party as they won't leech too much and you get the party bonus. The killing will be slow, cause your a dwarf, but steady.
A good place for you to level is Shrine of the Loyal. The ants, beetles and the shrine knights. They are not too strong, so the killing won't be hard. If you can, borrow some duals (maybe kesh-kesh for speed or tsu*sls for the crits) it may go faster for ya.
The antelopes in Wall of Argos are beautiful XP for a duo or small group, but they do stun.
Man I wish I could get those kind of % on my lvling. I solo alot not because I prefer it just has to do with amount and times I can play. Right now at 65 im only getting about 4.5% an hour. Of course this is true solo with no buff bot or anything so I spend atleast 10-15 minutes per hour regening mp.
Where do you get better xp at my lvl I haven't found it yet.
ahhh beer
remember when i was in your alliance? a poor little ws depressed by always soloing?
you told me it would get better at 58 and it did
since i never pvped like you and since i used the big boom "trick" to get my lvl 70+ se happening i can tell you the secret to fast lvling
subclass a SH or necro and have a 70+ se out of party ^^
i went 40-52 in 3 days with up to 50 deaths per day with 25% rez
im gonna do 52-61 in less than a week and i expect to get at least a lvl a day till my mid to high 60's
its a joke how much faster a necro lvls than a ws and to think a sh is even faster makes me sick
you are in the right area for xp at the moment so just go on full golem spam and if you need some extra cash spoil the bone priests, i was getting up to 4 majestic jewlery recs a day there as well as 15% till 75
if the wartags are getting you down you can try argos the bandersnatch (not slaves) and antilopes are good till about 73
hotsprings is acceptable but you might wanna hook up with a party to avoid some of the stuns and look around for the one spot which isnt checked for wartags
All of you seem to agree that my leveling is on par using legit means. None of you have been able to provide an explanation as to how these other players can be leveling legit. Thanks for your input though ^^
Some people have no jobs and simply play almost 24/7. And yes there are people that do this totally legit.
Real life is over-rated but there's less lag. Plenty of bots where I work, though. Unfortunately, flagging on them is against the employee code of conduct rules.

Hard for us to refute. The people that are doing this aren't on this board, they are probably in game xp'ing. :)
If I switched my life around, and worked 2-3 hours a day, but played L2 8-10 hours a day seven days a week, I'm pretty sure that I could get to 75+ in a couple of months legit.

i should prolly tell you some of the things i doen to hit 75 so fast
for staters no more pvp for you man
you're a friggn ws you're gonna take more dirt naps than nearly any other class
try and find your self a lvl 45ish prophet
it sounds stupid but if you go on full golem spam both of you will get excellent xp
try and find yourself an equal lvl BD
its gonna be hard to convince them to party with you, but short of an archer or mage duo a bd really cant do much better for xp than with a ws
forget about adena
i decided at the begining of C4 all i wanna to do was hit 75 so i could sub a more useful class
its cost me well over a hundred million adena but you cant beat potion and ss spam as well as adena loseing grind fests in completely inefficient parties
dont die
im about 10 million sp short for skills this lvl but IMO if i have to use a few qhp or a bsoe to survive i think its worth the money
if i have to brez to save myself 2% i would do so

But but my assistant has an "AGGRO" tshirt on today, and I don't think I have enough mp to keep silent walking past his desk all day, I may have to PK him to go to lunch! :P

My boss has the same Aggro, but it's his minions that are most annoying. I need mental aegis!
I can't help but notice that no one here mentioned Pole parties...
My Warlord is level 61. I got bored with him around 50, so sort of gave up grinding, but when I did duo with a healer (SE or WC by preference for VR) I made between 10-30% xp per hour from 58-61. And I could power level my lower level Clannies about one level per hour from level 30-55 (xp splitting rates keep this about even through the levels)
I leveled my WS from 20-40 in about 8 hours with a level 44 out of party SE in Heratics Catacomb... just claim 4 rooms and keep a overenchanted Glaive. Also made stupid amounts of adena copared to other classes. use the same amount of SS to kill 8 or 16 mobs that others use to kill 1.
I've had my bishop since early C1 and I just recently hit 75, and been working on stupid subclass quests for over a month now. But some people have more free time than me ><
Since prelude and only near 61 here, I beat you, young padawan :P

Posting follow up... I caught my enemies xping on raid bosses... What they do is have out of party tanks, and summons out of range get the last hits on the raid boss. If you're the only person in xp range, you get ALL the xp of the boss. That's somewhere around 500mil xp from a 70+ raid boss. Do 4-5 in an evening and you're cranking up level after level.
I'm also told there was a bug at the beginning of C4 that allowed for a character to get blazing/freezing skin, flag on a 3rd class BD, then hit the raid boss, before the raid boss hits them the BD fossilizes them. The reflect dmg used to destroy the raid boss in about 30-45 seconds I'm told. Thus, the ONE GUY solo's the raid boss. This has been fixed though... I tried it lol
You can take archers/nukers (except SPS) 1 - 75 within 3 months without too much trouble. Other classes can take MUCH longer.
I have several archers/nukers, and an Aden clan hall with full buffs that are struggling to level and they play way more than I do. There's more to it than just grinding. I find it odd that I NEVER get to attack my enemies while they are xping.
In terms of legit leveling, I would think that a person using a two-box with some sort of bot programming isn't very legit.
If you were to execute auto-follow command and keep switching back that's okay, but to have a bot is against the EULA, yes i know i'm a purist and you' all hate me.
Then again, i Think if a person has only a one-box they could foreseably get to 75 from lvl 40 in two months, we have a guy in our clan who is about 4 weeks into his character and went from 1-62 in that time period. He hit 40 in 5 days, so you could say 23 days from 40-62 or even less probably, I think they could hit 75 in another 35 days or so. But then again maybe not lol. Either way it can be done, if this person three boxed like I've seen some people do they may even be faster.
And sometimes I wish i went nuker, as a gladiator at lvl 61 and having to go back to clan hall in giran every 20 minutes I can get close to 8-10% in Forsaken plains without people and bots in the area. I get 2.5% in ascetics without any bot interference. This is with +5tsu*sls and B grade items, so I assume I could reach 10% per hour without much of a problem with A grade.
