From July 3 through 11, monsters will drop fireworks and fireworks ingredients. If you collect enough items, the cats in the villages will create fireworks for you to illuminate the skies of Aden. To create a Firework, gather two Elven Firecrackers and two cans of Gunpowder. To create a Large Firework, collect four Elven Firecrackers, four cans of Gunpowder, and one unit of Magnesium.

Please tell us that if you create a large firework that there is a chance that when it explodes it will shower you with Level 11, 12, and 13 soul crystals!
hrm, well since normal mobs drop them i guess i will participate since it requires no effort. I would have rather had this event a few weeks earlier and had the IT event for the week of the 4th but whatever.

There has never been an event where there didnt end up being a reward of some kind. Since the only reward mentioned was being featured on L2.com for screenshots you can imagine that some sort of awards will be given out.

Thanks for another event, OrneryNC. With a 25% reduction in staff, I feared no events would occur for a while.
I still have my fireworks from the Arrowhead Run. So, I expect the completed fireworks will persist after the event, although the gunpowder and magnesium might not.
New Recipe: Fire Arrows (100%), level 4, Quan 100, MP 100
100 Silver Arrows
200 Gunpowder
100 Magnesium
Yields: 100 Fire Arrows
Item: Fire Arrow
Desc: Leaves smoke trail during flight, produces burst of flame upon contact, causing additional 120 AoE damage to nearby enemies.
I can see them in and do them in RL why would I want them in a game. Well I guess it's another "sorry no goodies for you" event again. They really picked a winner this time.

A small criticism...any idea why there is so little activity on the web dev side? I would figure there must be LOTS to do to improve this home page? You know, making a drop table here would totally redeem yourself in the face of many doubters!

I enjoyed the small story. However, you could have played this story more, you and I both know people will do much more than just light fireworks to impress a girl (specially if the guy is a wizard).

Nice that we have an event... but... it's kidda the same as Christams Tree event... (well we had letter event, event with monsters, and now this.... so coins will be next? ^^).
it'd be awesome that when your fireworks explodes, items will drop down from the sky but to different areas...imagine a lvl 12 crystal landing in front of someone turning in seeds on talking island :P

No mention of any other drops, like pots, scrolls, sp or mp bonuses, soul crystals, etc., etc.? Just fireworks and a chance to have your own screenie???

I'm off Monday and Tuesday, and I was hoping for a REAL event. Something like "the ports have been taken over by Raid pirates and their henchman and it is up to you to recapture and secure the harbors of Aden." But I guess I'll go to work instead. Boston Tea Party this is not!
I guess they've finally resorted to doing more events like this because of all the people that [censored] and whine about other events. "ohhh it crashed the market!" "ohhh i have a castle so i don't get as much out of it!" "ohhh another event that benefits ebayers". I'm surprised it took them this long to start an event revolving around fireworks.
Maybe they are just out of touch with their player base. Maybe the next contest should be for players to design an event. The winner gets 2M SP, 1M adena, a customized hall with all of the trappings for a month and complimentary noblesse gatekeeper rights for the duration of the event. The winning event occurs a month after the contest closes and lasts for a single validation period (one week).
Looks like more stuff to clog up the inventory. I guess I'll be dragging more stuff to the trash can for a week or so.
Maybe you should move all your event staff over to the newly-created "Run around in game and ban lots of blatantly obvious illegal 3rd party program users" team. ;)
Well as most of you know or should know korea usually has events first then we get them second. This is no problem at all and makes no difference to me.
I am wondering though if Korea had this event. Because if they didnt I am guessing ncsoft just slapped this together for North America and didnt put much work into it because there is no real purpose. Fireworks were already in game so absolutely nothing needs to be changed here.
The only things that need to be done for this event to happen is
1. add a few potential drops to every mob table. This is probably a lot easier than having only certain mobs drop it and probably requires very little time.
2. Spawn the event managers used for the coin quest in town and just switch their inventory and allow for exchange
Thats pretty much all that needs to happen if this event works as described in the original post. As I said before I will wait and see because there might be something to it yet. Does anyone know if Korea had this event recently or if it is NA only? I know they had the Ivory Tower event.
Meh. I'm not so happy about the event. It seems kinda boring. I'm not upset about the lack of drops, mainly just it is a collection event that affects group drops. Sigh. Instead of "---Received Full Drop" my luck will be "---Received Magnesium".

I welcome any event but after looking at the rewards I don't think I'll go out of my way and grind.

Please keep your feedback useful -- posting in all caps, bypassing the profanity filter, and being hostile toward the staff is not useful. I have saved the parts of the feedback that were helpful to pass along to the team, and as always we appreciate those types of comments.
We do want the players to enjoy every event. This event is intended to be a fun break from the norm, and I hope that some of you are having a good time with it. Thanks!

Some people are indeed, very easily amused. However in a game like Lineage, where everything is dependent on Adena, what's the point of waiting for the so called: "Special Events" if there's nothing special about them?

a adena rush with next event would be nice, would drop this way overpriced market to real...

The event NPCs will remain in the villages for an additional week. I'll add a note to today's maintenance to make sure everyone knows -- thanks! At this time we do not plan on removing the completed fireworks from the inventory.
