With the server populations on many of the L2 servers dropping i would like to know what NCSofts plan is to work with this change.
I assume once server population decreases to a certain point they would merge the servers or something of the like to keep the servers full so they can continue to provide an enjoyable gaming enviroment.
Either offering server transfers (with a limit 6-12 months?) or merging the lower population servers with the higher population servers would bring new life to this game.
Am i the only one who rmembers back when NC WAS talking about server transfers and everybody on the less populated servers threatened to quit? The playerbase told NC not to do it and frankly i think that's best. All this would do woudl be to overpopulate some of the servers, plain and simple.

I dont know other servers but Hindemith seems good on the population and we all know when it gets close to C5 launch that population will explode everywhere. Sometimes I take breaks and wait for the next chronicle to come out before I come back. I think we are good how we are right now. If it ever does happen and I get sent to Erica or something like that. I will not take that well. :mad:
The problem its on Kain, it seens NC banned some farmers or something like that, people are calling Kain the Ghost Town.
Im playing on Bartz and its already full, so not exactly a problem to me ;P

Great update Spam.. Any update on the lag issues that are affecting alot of my alliance? Its not just a few people, its well over 75% of my alliance as well as most people on Sieg.

Good answer? there wasn't an answer. I can see it being her/his thunder if he/she was the one that is making the other server thing. Since that probably isn't the case then there is no thunder to steal.

The servers will be underpopulated when you figure out the farmer problem. What would be NCSofts plan once (if ever) this happens? Is a server merge even mildly possible in the future?

No offense, but over 50% of the poeple logged in are AFK bots. But I dont think anyone from NCSOFT has logged into the game...ever.

Anyone who's played the game 1 year will be able to tell you instantly with 99 % accuracy who is and who is not a bot.
Can someone plz tell me what happened to Kain? A server that was Heavy most of the time is now light, ALL the time. It also recieves lag, but this may be my ISP...I am not gonna rule it 100% out, but some ppl are also saying they are lagging. So whats the deal, besides 5 people I know quitting within the last week or two?
New server is one way to help ease population on the giant servers. We all know how people love to start over and know that everyone has equl chances. Until a week and you can ebay a mil and have top ng for you and your buffer and soulshot spam to 30.
Some servers are ghost towns true. Just leave to the "new server" then. Eventually it will be shut down or merged.
Kain or Teon were sort of the obvious places to start work on everyone's favourite issues. As someone who hasn't got the possibility of really checking if there are less farmers, or if a noticable amount of bot groups are gone, I would be very curious to know if someone from Kain couldn't check whether or not the part of the population that disappeared were unwelcome visitors.
With regards to Kain.. well Kain used to be mainly focussed on pvp but during
C4 several of the key clans decided to work together with the raidfarmers, we
got 2 of those, and use cheat progs/pwr lvl services to hit 78 asap. This made
seiging and any type of mass pvp pretty boring and futile for those who plays
by the rules. Several key clan leaders gave up and left the game due to these
issues..
Add in the fact that it's easier to xp solo with dual boxed/botted support chars
then to build normal groups those who are dependable on normal groups hardly
get any xp which drive them away from the game slowly but surely.
If NC Soft wants all classes to be able to xp and play this game then they need
to decrease the map so people will only hunt at certain areas so it's easier to find/
make parties. Also make it harder to solo and ensure that those cheater progs
don't work as that will force a lot of people to be active part of the server community
outside of seiges.

A few clan leaders quitting shouldn't set the server from heavy to light - especially not during a maintanance period - so that doesn't really answer the question, unless they took their clans with them, fully, and there were a good handful of them.
Why are the GM's ignoring this post now that someone has brought up the farmer issue? As some other guy said, most of the server can tell who is and who isnt a bot right away... why cant NCSoft.... + raid boss farmers.....
NCSoft is not taking this serouisly at all... and dotn give us that, we banned 30,000 bots crap but cannot give away our methods for security purposes (you can only tell ppl this so many times and get away with it)... they are still everywhere. Do something or give the players a way to do something then readdress the server merge issue.

It is happening on every server... this is why NCSoft needs to talk to its customers about this issue. I know they read every post... they just choose to ignore/delete it.
So the servers are near full according to spam and they have plans for their servers. If they're smart, they're planning a relax server to stem the flow of people to the private servers. Is it just me or are private servers seeming to have more of a presence here lately?

The unfortunate truth is that NCsoft hasn't spent ANY resources marketing this game in North America. Even if you know about Lineage2 somehow, and you want to buy the game, it's very difficult. The major retail stores do not carry Lineage2 -- they only have City of Heroes or Guildwars.
The result is that there is a shortage of competitive players.
Since forming my clan, I had a *very* specific idea of how I wanted to build my clan and how it would be different from other top clans -- and still competitive. NCsoft's lack of marketing has made it impossible to design my clan as I would wish, although I have taken the next best course.
NCSoft looks at our servers and thinks to themselves -- "why advertise? The servers are all full!" They're half right -- the servers are full of bots. But bots do not participate in mass pvp. Bots do not do seiges. Bots do not do politics. Bots do not do raid bosses. For these things, we need real players (with high levels). And because NCsoft will not advertise, there is a shortage of thse. It's very sad.

Yup, have read that... but still there are bot grps running around in almost every single hunting area on my server. I do not understand how they have to do soo much investigation into these bots when everyone who plays on the server knows they bot, it isnt really that hard to figure out the difference, NCSoft makes it a big deal, we have to find the bots, we need to comunity to pretition them!!...
Give a player who has been playing for 2 years gm rights... he would be able to tell you every bot on the server in one day.. I know I could. I just dont get it and they wont explain it. They rather choose to avoid it and every known and again say, we are combatting the bots while they run rampent on the server.

Im trying to bring it to their attention that their is a massive issue in the game and if they dont DO something about it, they will loose their player base. I mean, this game is awesome and the ppl (on my server atleast) are awesome. I dont want this game to go down in flames.
