While in Giran square type /target randolf twice. Now you can use the warehouse without leaving the square.
Need to trade from the square? Type /target helvetia twice.
I keep a macro for both of these so I don't have to type as much. You can do this for the other grocer and the fisherman also. Now you don't have to run through all that mass of people just to get to the warehouse or buy soul/spirit ores.
It's just like not being able to see someone through a wall but if you double click their name in party, or /target twice you'll run in their direction. OMG HAX you can't see through walls normally!
I sort of do that when Im crafting shots. In Giran ill go down where all the craft shops are find the store with good prices the macro thiers names so I can bounce back and forth throught them as they regen mp.

Look I can put my items in a warehouse through a wall, hehehehe.

Magic stuff.
Nice tip by the OP through macro use of what is also a left double click of the mouse on NPC. Just wasn't aware could be done from anywhere in town. hmmmm
/target {name} /target {name} is as Ellie points out is good for autofollow as part of using a macro for 2 boxing.
Here's a simple one I use since they made it so that you cannot open your recipe book while seated (or in a sell/buy shop):
Put a commonly used recipe from your recipe book on a hotbar. Then, when you want to craft without standing just click on the hotbar. If you need to craft something different, click the "back" button (or whatever it's called, I'm not in game now) on your recipe book and select a different one.
One I use to get to Dion from the top of Death Pass.
I run up to the mountains bordering Partisan Highway and Death Pass. The mountains right at the end before the mountains start running to the east. You can run almost to the top of these, at this point you enter Dion territory and can soe to Dion.
I knew those too, i guess im not thath noob after all :)
Also if you have some AA laying around and are to lazy to run. Port to the Lower end of the netural zone with the rats (havent been there in a while) and run towards cruma swamp the soe. Its a lil more expensive but its faster.
Port to Giran Harbour from Dion then SOE. Now that one is easy.
Also you can port straight to worshipers from Dion. Really awsome xp for the 40ish people. ;)
Also, can port to Hardin's from HV and SOE to Giran. (Someone may have already mentioned that, it's common knowledge.)
Just a note, I think they changed it so you can no longer port to Hardin's during Giran seige time. But I always use Hardin's then soe, a lot cheaper :)
It is possible to walk on water w/o getting breath guage and slower running speed.
You must have a view of the shore you're going to, click on the very edge of the shore you are trying to get to while standing on the shore you are at.
this will stop working if you click anywhere else while you are swimming to ur target.
I found the cure to this trick as soon as the bug "went live" so to speak. I just stand in the water at the edge of the drop-off until I see I have a breath gauge activated. Once I see that I take my stp off the edge and swim down. I have never ever fallen using that method. I keep telling my wife to do it that way, but she never listens and usually shows up with zero HP. It's really a dangerous bug considering if you have something chasing you a Drak Blue mob can one shot you.
Just a curious thing but I've fallen a lot but if I'm wearing a banana suit I take no damage. Anything else and the hp takes a beating. I'm glad they added cp points or else some noob level 1 could just pk a level 75 who took a hard fall.
If you wanna go rift, instead of porting to any dungeon and port from the statue, you can go to dawn of dusk priests, port to the festival and then talk to a npc and choose you wanna go rift.
I thought it's time to bring back an old thread and add something to it. Oh there are a lot of things I'd like to add here but for now those will remain with me.
So you're out hunting for Kail's coins and some of those darn shaman's keep morphing to tigers. There are 2 types of shamans, one type morphs and don't give you coins while the other doesn't and it gives you coins. One way is to keep track of which shaman doesn't morph by first killing only 1 shaman until you get know which is which. But that's tedious. There's an even better way to know and be legit about doing it. The answer is in the manor.
When you try to seed morphing mobs the manor won't let you. This happens in VoS and with the shamans. Carry a seed, target a shaman, and try to seed. If the game tells you that you can not seed it then that mob will morph and you won't get a coin.
I forget what color of Kail's coins the shamans give but those currently hunting those will know.

and it is much easyer to see which shaman you have in the target ;)
watch your expanded target window. You will see 4 spezials for the morphing shaman and 6 for the other shaman.

Target is the best. I even use it to help me find event mobs (worked really well with the bunnies).
Tip for Destros poling: Mass Surrender to Fire is your new best friend.
Nobody believed this when I said it. >_<
Oh, err, tip - if you get surrounded by mobs, start clicking wildly into the opposite direction from where you're headed, the mobs will move that way (while your character can't, because mobs are in the way), and you will be free to go wherever you were headed.
If you play at Gustin:
When you go hunt at beast farm and a bot manager from FireDragon say: - you have 5 minutes to soe or i will kill you.
SOE or he will really kill you with chars levels 75+ that support it.
And dont try come to message board post about it because the GM will say: Lineage 2 is for stronger and patient :)

Well, wasn't it technically me who said it then? :p

Does it work with "Down" arrow too? (which turns you forward again when you release it, btw).
Another old tip, but still useful when faced with a multiple spellcaster aggro: Place a tree or other sufficiently large obstruction in between yourself and a spellcasting mob and you will be able to stop their spellcasting each and every time. Once you uncover, they will then have to recast the spell or approach you, which gives you a chance to interrupt, stun, kill them before they unleash their magic attack.
I believe I asked about it at the time - I don't remember reading it from someone else. Probably both said something about it without the other noticing. ;)
I don't know about arrows - I don't use the arrows for movement, nor the gamepad (although I use a gamepad while playing my BH).
Actually, here's a tip:
The shoulder buttons on a gamepad will allow you to /nexttarget dead mobs!

You can also do a /attack after the first /target. That way you dont have to type the name twice.
If you're a TH and you use stealth your fighting abilities go down. Bad for pvp. But if you manage to catch someone unawares you can disable stealth at anytime even if you have just turned it on. Remeber stealth is a 2 min buff and not a toggle.
How to disable stealth at anytime? Summon and ride a strider and that buff disappears.
Untested but this trick might also work for snipe. Maybe someone can test it and post the result here.
Yeah, getting on a strider removes all self-buffs, at least on my warlord. Useful when pulling for aoe and using thrill fight as I get off. Not so useful if I have battleroar up.
Can't think of that many protips. I'm the only one I know except destros that switch to a dagger to do selfbuffs, not sure why it isn't more common practice. You can keep warcry up nonstop (with like half a second downtime) with dagger+dance+haste2. You can shave a good while off longer skills like battle roar. Never played a tank, but I would assume it works for UD too?
If bots are giving you trouble and their dwarf is using spoil festival, you can make them flag by flagging yourself and standing next to the dwarf's spoil target.
If you add something after a /target macro, those lines will not execute if the first line doesn't find a target. Slightly useful (in the one-less-button-to-press kinda way) for automatically alerting your team if your target macro "lands".
Holding shift will prevent your character from getting in range to use the skill or attack. Useful if you want to try shooting something at the bottom of a cliff without risking running off. This can be macroed by adding "stand" at the end of the slashcommand.
Also useful if you're having problems with being pulled out of the corner while doing aoe.
Spend money for leveling and time for making money.
Never rely on adena/item drops to advance to next grade.Use the Giran power. Ebayers got the cash , try to get the cash to your wallet :).
qwertyqwerty (place holder for next search when I need to find this thread)
A transformed prophet and pet wolf make an awsome DD combo. The problem is you can not transform when you have a pet summoned. But you can transform and then summon the pet. You just have to box a buffer for the pet.
