Everyone says its better use avadon, because of casting speed etc etc.
But, i really think that avadon is good for spellhowlers looking for cast speed (they already have a good matk). For us, light elves, maybe zubei would be the best choice?
I dont want to be a casting machine, running out of mana in seconds and watching my adena go away in shots.

Best Spellsinger I know who is currently in B grade wears Doom Robe set...it seems to perform very well for her.
My SpS is actually close to 70 and I still use Demon for PvE. I also have Doom Robes, but the instances in which I wear them are very limited. I wear them in mixed groups, when I can take my time getting a shot off, because it slows casting speed down a lot. I cannot wear them in nuker parties, the mobs are dead before I get more than 1 spell off. I'll also wear them at the tail end of my buff round when I'm soloing and I've drained all of my and my recharger's mp. And I wear them when I sit down to recharge mana. That's it.
Yes, avoid getting zubei and use Demon if you want an effective PvE set. I've tried Zubei before (on an LE mage) and it does not help my Matk as much as I had hoped.
For B grade either get a SoV or a Overenhanted Homu. Mind you the SoV is nice because B grade only takes one shot! That adds to hunting time.
For robes go Avadon. If you feel you really need power go for Demon. I got +4 INT tatts and kept my demon when I got my avadon. I use to PvE alot with demon, but then I relized that I would rather have the adena from selling the demon...because demon dosen't make that big of a difference if you hunt the right mobs.
BTW demon is better than doom or zubei. So if you are going to get B grade robes, just get Avadon.
So I kept my demon until lvl 55 and decided to sell it. Really, work on ur weapon first unless you already got a good one, like a OE homu (+7 or so) and just keep ur demon if that is already what you got.
There is also a misconception that casting speed dosen't help PvE. I know for me it saves my butt everyday...lol...
Demon at B grade though is pretty much pocket change, the entire set (sans boots) is like what... 4 mill? I still keep demon and avadon, demon for raids and some PVE, avadon for some soloing and PVP.

the general rule for nukers is to find what mob gives the best xp that you can 2 shot
if you can 2 shot that mob in av wear av
if you need abit more damage for the 2 shot wear demon
i walked around with both sets in my inventory at b grade
lol I think all you guys are nuts. Spellsinger relies on cast speed..avadon set at 15% still doesnt increase your speed as much as the wit bonus on blue wolf robes. Anyway, demon if you want since +4 int can help a lot but I have found that cast speed is the most important aspect in pvp and blue wolf gives you the most you're going to get.
BW cast speed is like 1% better.. if that.. than avadon. And you loose M attack out of it.
You do more damage per second with Avadon. Dont go -int sets on spellsingers.. your M attack is low enough without lowering it any further. MP regen is nice.. but thats a pve thing, and your better of with doom or demon than BW for pve.
Go which set gives you the fastest cast speed.. and allows you to two shot mobs wherever your hunting. If thats avadon... then go for it. If you have to use an aura bolt and two shots... then go back to demon.
