Thanks everyone who helped Chosen get Dion today (Nation/Defiance/Oblivion/all the other clans). Couldn't have done it without ya'll. And good fight to everyone that participated. Was a very fun seige ... although challenging for us defenders. Started out with Unbreakables/Nation/Defiance/Chosen against everyone else. Never go Dusk if you're trying to defend :) ...
Seige starts ... everyone ends up in Gludin ... hmmmm not only do we get ported 2 towns away, but we have no defender shield, it's as if we never signed up *COOL!* ... run back/regroup/roll a bunch of flags (Eternity/LG/Shakra) .... Castle still holding ... die, go back to Gludin ... run back/regroup/roll flags ... rinse, repeat until all flags are gone ...
errr ... oh wait ... were we supposed to take out Chosen flags? Um ... too late :o ... Well pffffft, they can have a butt of granite from running back from Gludin, just like me! (pause to admire ***... hmmm DE males have no *** ... need to switch to fem tank to do any future ***-admiration sessions) ... NM, castle just fell ... yay! Chosen took it.
errr ... who can we kill now? Switch gears ... kill Mirage/Eternity/LG/Shakra but NOT Chosen ... keep a neutral in the castle ...

Congrats guys, sounds like a fun seige and thats a great post Pak.
We would have liked to have joined in but that probably would have brought along Infantile and their Double Secret KOS so we decided to play at Gludio. Thanks to Mirage and Infinity we had a fun seige at Gludio that went down to the last 2 minutes so its all good.
Yeah. I found out defending a castle while being dusk doesn't work. Can't go back to castle or get ressed. >.< Figured it out at the Innadril siege.

It actually worked out quite nicely and put us in a great position to roll flags and do open field skirmishing ... it's an easy run from the Wastelands to a scroll point for Dion. Innadril would be a real pain tho unless you stocked up on SOE-to-Heine scrolls. I think are are a few rather interesting ways you could play the Dusk/Dawn dilemma... But it will have to wait to demonstrate until the next time we end up on the opposite side of the competition. *rubs hands in anticipation*

Yeah the siege was cool. HandofOmega did not get approved for defending. CerealKillers decided to help defend because they were later joining our ally which they have.
So a 9 man group of just a couple HoO players wiped every flag on the siege field and only 2 of us died. Droped about 30+ players. Figured we would try to help as much as we could :)
Let's see ... which Alliance has determined the way the Festivals swing for the past X months? ... and which Alliance just took the 4 major castles on the server after securing the seal of strife as Dusk ....
hmmmmm ... you think they'll go DUSK, take the seal of strife and surrender all those cardboard castles next time around? I'm sure they did all that pre-positioning to do just that. Aren't you?
