:DGratz to Chaos! :D They were able to take Aden and Goddard against 2:1 odds (or more) at Aden. Fighting against Mirage and Invic was a tough battle for them I'm sure. It will be nice to see lower taxes for a while.
Long time since we've had a full siege. I was there at the beginning and the end only, but was at Aden, Gludio and Dion within 2 hours, was a blast overall!
What I find funny is that GMB used a very similar tactic against Syndicate and Steine cried about it being an exploit. At that time all of Invincible were quick to say that it wasn't an exploit, that they were brilliant for coming up with it and that we were butthurt for complaining about it (which most of us did not.) Now the situation is reversed and they are quick to call us out for "exploiting" when they were so adament about the brilliance of the tactic before.

The issue as we've seen it is that NC patched the game so that it couldn't be doen anymore and Chaos found away around their fix. Nobody has any illusions about NC doing anythign about it but NC did try an stop it from happening again, your alliance just found away aroudn their fix.
edit:
giran = 100 mil per week
Antharas = 2.5 billion
You do the math.

But when Chaos does Antharas it's. "WAH WAH COME TAKE OUR CASTLES"
Now we change our tune?
And the Anakim raid that Tl failed at. That also dropped an Arcana Mace.
And just cause Adens bridges go past a no fly zone doesn't make it an exploit. It makes you cocky for not bothering to watch it. And it shows that sometimes just being the smarter side can defeat your numbers.
Chaos vs Invin at Aden. Chaos owns Aden. ( and Goddard)
Most of them were at antharas with us so aparantly they agreed about the worth.
Giving up Giran for Antharas? Don't ever say you aren't carebear again.
I would accept them saying they knew they couldnt defend the castle with Strife being broken against Chaos so they decided to go to Antharas instead. But thnx for the castle.
Me personally or the alliance? for hte alliance it nets a couple billion. For me personally it means A gear and SA crystals. Not that i don't enjoy PVP but waste not want not. If we hadn't killed it chaos would have and frankly that's nearly as important as the massive gear drops.

If this was an attempt at an excuse/cop-out, it is not a particularly clever one.
Congrats to Chaos, this weekend's victors. Invincible and Mirage dared you to stop them. You stepped up and proved more than equal to the task. gg.

About the tactics used: beeing able to just drop of the wyvern anywhere on the castle (the thing NC fixed) is very different from 2 small choke points that lead into the castle, easy to defend. There was no single guard in aden castle. There are no excuses: TL (and maybe the other inv clan leaders) cockyness cost you aden castle.
About Giran and Antharas:
An old friend in Inv told me that he was very disapointed about TL's decision to favor Antharas over the pvp at giran. So obviously not all of your ally members agree with the priorities chosen by your leadership.
You gotta understand that it does make us wonder why the leader of the self-proclaimed "competitive PVP-alliance" Invincible chooses a PvE-fight over a PvP-fight for a castle which he himself said he "cares about" (remember TL's "take a castle we care about"-post).
Our conclusion is: he gave up giran because he feared another defeat and wanted to atleast provide his alliance with one small, secure victory, the victory over antharas. This interpretation fits well with TL's reinterpretation of the 15-minutes fight in the beginning of the aden siege (where inv and mirage killed chaos off the siege field) into the "real siege":
The real siege happened at the beginning. We wiped your force.
But what counts is who is in posession of the castle after the 2 hours of siege time. You had 1 hour time to retake it but failed.
I would also like to quote Kenai from your own boards too:
all im saying is that you won because of position, not because of numbers or skill or gear. position that was given to you by sandrons ninja-ness. its the exact same as that ramp on TOI 13th, if you get the position you win its that simple.
I totally agree. We did not win because of gear, levels or numbers. Your ally excels in that field. We won because of good strategy.
bug using and good strategy is prolly the same for you then
did you complain about how inv clan leaders + whysnasty took out giran life crystals a long time ago? I know people from syndicate complained (mostly Steine) but got silenced by the gm's, remember Hughy's signature on L2o. it was a valid stategy at the time. With this history, dont expect to get a different answer this time.
Calling this an exploit is an excuse for inv's own overconfidence and lack of imagination in identifiying potential threats to their castles defenses...a loophole, yes, but not in the system, in the castles defense instead.
As for the aden strategy
there was no bug. anyone that is familiar with that castle knows exactly what I did
The fact that strife was in effect is the only thing that made it possible.
That along with the fact you were all attackers, probably didnt ever see the messages that a door was broken
You were all attackers because you helped us(dusk) get strife.
You were sure the castle wouldnt fall
No gaurds posted
30mil left in the vault
Anyway, stop whining about the tactic. It was perfectly legal.
there was no restarting or glitchng in or any of that or anythng else i saw people assumed
I don't have much to add here, but I want to say good job to Mirage for fighting at 3 castles at once on Saturday. You guys spread yourselves thin, almost took Dion, and did retake Gludio. You were fighting all the neutrals (Eternity, Unbreakables, Chosen, Nation, Risingblades, Infinity, Defiance, and Oblivion) and Chaos at once. Nice job that you were still able to climb out of it and hold a castle!
I know Mirage had fun on Saturday's siege! I was at all 3 sieges! Too bad we had to back out from Dion (Aden thingy), I think we had a good chance of getting it :)
Anyway about the castle, we disagre about ti being an exploit. You're right that doesn't change that you took it. We'll see you in two weeks and see how that works out.
As to the giran siege we were starting to rally when someone on TS said the dragon was up. It was quite for a bit then TL started swearing and had us rally for for the dragon instead. We expected PVP before antharas and didn't get any. Giran is a symbol, just like Aden. Losing hurt us all but for Giran the dragon was a better choice for the alliance as a whole. Whether or not people agree that economics >symbolism is something you can't change.
We'll be back in two weeks, till then we'll enjoy the light taxes endure the trashtalk.

what did i miss
theres nothing to agree or disagree on
there was no exploit used. In fact theres no working exploit n that castle that i know of
Let me explain something real quick. If you fly over a castle during siege you get a countdown of about 10 seconds(forget since i did it once a while ago)
After that countdown ends you get thrown off the wyvern and dropped 2 towns away
If you attempt to D/c over a castle its just like d/cing while sieging... you are 2 towns away
Hopefully that will clear up some things here.
Feel free to gm the situation though.
i'm sure it's been GM'ed and i understand how it was done. The point of disagreement is that after Inv took a castle using wyverns NC patched it so it could not be done any more. Due to Aden castle's construction parts of it extend beyond the siege zone and as such are not subject to the patch.
The disagreement comes as to wether this is what NC intended or an oversight. Either way NC has said they will NEVER change the result of a siege so it doesn't matter if it was or not. If NC calls it an exploit then the leaders will get a stern talking to and it'll be patched. More likely is that it will be patched to match the rest of the castles and NC will say oops our bad we'll fix that for next time.

FYI - INV was not the only alliance and Lionna was not the only server to have this done. By the time INV did it on Giran (Nemesis tried but failed on Gludio the day b4), the wyvern drop had been done on other servers already.
You do know that we only have 1 alt in the clan right? I'm sure that insulting the clan tag makes you feel somehow surperior so whatever works for you.

Never said they were, in fact most my posts especially regarding neutrals and such refer to our two alliances at the same time. The point is that when inv took it NC said it was a valid tactic and then introduced a patch to remove the ability to do this. The wyvern drop was the issue not that Inv did it. Maybe you should read what i wrote rather than trying to put propaganda into it.

Ok whatever you are complaining, do yourself the same thing in next siege not cry about it on forums !
I know Mirage had fun on Saturday's siege! I was at all 3 sieges! Too bad we had to back out from Dion (Aden thingy), I think we had a good chance of getting it :)
PS. I hate Aden choke-points!! :>
Why did you have to Svii? Aden didn't belong to Mirage but Dion did. Are you telling me you gave up on your castle because Deus was calling you guys?

Dude you and the rest of the Deus dingleberries need to understand something. What Sandron and Araxie did is against no rules in place within this game. There is nothing else to say unless you or Deus or anyone else can find something official stating otherwise. Why don't you send in an email petition or in game petition and post the response for me. I'd like to see it.
Just admit that tactically you were outdone by what was a brilliant strategy. I don't know if sandron came up with it himself or not but it really does not matter. It was used and it was 100% legal. You cannot have any disagreeance because at this point in time NCsoft do NOT intend those catwalks to be part of the no fly zone. Stop being so butthurt over losing the jewel in your crown, your pride and glory and stop whining about being completely and utterly outsmarted.
TBH, you could have saved your castle if you had you know, maybe left a few people to maybe GAURD it form the inside?
Cockyness ftw :)
ps Falling i wub you =[
The problem is: they locked themselves out of their own castle by beeing lazy to try and win festivals and going DUSK instead and signing as attackers. Of course, their alt clan could have had at least a few people inside...or some guards.
Why did you have to Svii? Aden didn't belong to Mirage but Dion did. Are you telling me you gave up on your castle because Deus was calling you guys?
I'm going to say this again ...
Dion did NOT belong to Mirage. Dion belonged to Unbreakables, led by HnXpedition, a clan that BROKE WITH MIRAGE over a year ago. This is not an alt clan of Mirage. They are not an ally of Mirage. They are neutral. The clan HnXpedition != (IS NOT EQUAL) to Xpedition, which is a Mirage clan and has a clan emblem of "HnX" which, I admit, makes it confusing but that should be no more confusing than the fact that clans that were Invinc last month are now Chaos. Except HnXpedition went independent over A YEAR ago!
On the Dion field, Unbreakables-Nation-Defiance-Oblivion defended against at least three attacking factions: Mirage / Eternity-Laguna Blade-Shakra / Chosen-and-friends. EVERYONE attacked Mirage. Mirage attacked EVERYONE. Same goes with the other faction until Chosen took the castle, then the on field alliances shifted as is common ... and it was Mirage vs. Eternity-and-friends vs. everyone else vs. everyone you didn't know (with special attention paid by all for Mirage who showed up). Much fun was had by all.
Or in the words of Valdis on another forum ...
You guys should say, "screw this", make alts, join the neutrals, and enjoy our exploit/brilliant strategy-free, straight forward sieges. Its very exciting because on any given neutral siege field there's at least a half dozen alliances on at least 3 sides and noone knows which side which alliance is on. Its awesome!
I know Mirage had fun on Saturday's siege! I was at all 3 sieges! Too bad we had to back out from Dion (Aden thingy), I think we had a good chance of getting it :)

dion wasnt our castle we just didnt like the current holder

Very true.
When GMB dropped on w/e castle it was (Giran?), it was not an exploit. At the time, a few Chaos members cried that it was, although most (like myself) acknowledged that it was great strategy. Invin laughed and laughed at the Chaos members who thought it was an exploit. To this day, ranawen uses a picture (http://img306.imageshack.us/img306/1871/forsteine2iu.jpg) of HGMspam saying the tactic is legal as his sig.
At this point in time, when Sandron used the Aden drop to take the castle, it is not an exploit. It is a legal tactic, just as the wyvern drop was in the other siege. There is no difference. Some may feel that it should be an exploit, but some felt that about the GMB's wyvern drop as well. It is currently a legal tactic.
The funny thing is, now that the shoe is on the other foot, so to speak, many Invincible are reacting exactly the same way as the few (steine, mostly) Syndicate they laughed at previously.
The point of disagreement is that after Inv took a castle using wyverns NC patched it so it could not be done any more.

the reason for my post is that i noted some propaganda in your original statement. but nice chatting w/ u as always :)
