Fun at level 28?!

Yes, I am having fun at low levels. I am level 28, have only halfway decent equipment except for my main weapon, which is decent, and I am having a blast leveling slowly. I am a grinder by nature, but I am also not into taking risks. I figure grinding stuff my own level that doesnt BAF and gives me only decent XP is a lot better than going after reds and getting killed, losing my equipment, and losing XP. Boss raids are a blast, and I am learning I need to start carrying an assortment of weapons, for different occasions.

I just got my new skills, and I am having a great time with them. My damage has gone up by 25% per shot and I run faster, and I still have yet to use my new improved power shot, which is maxed for my level (Praise boss raids :) )

I am learning a lot, while all the rest of you vets already know everything. Things like, Mana conservation during long fights is paramount. Archers are awesome for short duration fights, but for boss raids, we kill our mana in a couple dozen shots and then we're near useless. So I need to use either lower level weapons with lower mana consumption, or I need to start carrying a second weapon, not a bow, but a sword or something, to use when my mana runs low so I can regen it and still keep fighting. I know the last boss raid group I was with was annoyed with me cause I had no mana through half the fight and kept having to sit down to regen.

There's always more to learn as far as I'm concerned, no matter how high level you are.

As an archer, you'll need to learn that your skills are not for PvE. Since our regular shots eat up mp so fast it's more efficient to simply use regular attacks always. MP regeneration becomes a bit less of an issue once you hit level 40 and get a bow with Cheapshot. The Espirit skill we get also makes it much easier when we're soloing, since we regen faster while kiting. It's hard to justify ever firing a special skill when healing potions are so cheap however. It's better to just take the extra damage and kill a little slower, and only spend time resting for mp.

Anyway, glad you're having fun so far. To me L2 is a game that gets better with age.
The D grade levels are definitely fun ^_^

-And what Silviera said. + As an archer, if you need a secnd weapon, get a dagger, since you get dagger masteries too.
Only if you are on dgrade for your 10th time or so, it starts to be boring

And if its possible, get some sort of dagger you can use while you are regening :)
Well, an archer with 700 attackspeed and 2K p.atk. does pretty ok in PvE, especially with cheapshot and a recharger :)
