I'm out trying to find a decent place to hunt with a level 6X Warlord (if anyone has any suggestions feel free to add), and I decided to give the Beast Farm a shot. I checked to see what the levels of the Beast Farm are and read that it's between 63-69.
I run in, see some little buffalo type mobs that are coming up as light pink to me and I attack. It was kinda like killing a 2 times the HP mob, but when it died....I only got 2000XP!!!
No biggie...I figured that maybe someone else had attacked it first, then died or run off, and that was all the XP the little critter could give me. I tried another, but lo' and behold...I got the same XP! I then wandered around the Beast Farm testing the MOBs. Some were like fighting 3 times HP mobs...some like fighting 4 times the HP...it all instances, the XP was largely disproportional to the amount of time it took to kill them. You could easily hunt other MOBs in other areas characters that were easier to kill and get a greater than or equal amount of XP. So I'm curious...what is the Beast Farm for and why would anyone want to hunt there?
Beast farm is for training pets mostly I think. But if you feed the animals and they grow, you get more xp for killing them. Unless they changed it when C4 went live.. I was only there on PTS.

So you can feed those little critters there? And where is that listed? Never even heard of that before...
There are some NPC's in the beast farm you can buy some "spice" food for the mobs. Feed it unit it a few times and it will grow. Retarget it and feed it again. You can do this 3-4 times and with will either grow into a trained pet that will give you roughly 3 buffs and nice heals or it will become a cool looking full grown mob. Those will give you about 15-18k xp. Keep in mind, each growth will make the mob stronger. Fun place to go for a change.
Other places to hunt? Perhaps Valley of Saints. Be sure you have descent jewels though as these are very heavy magic casters in that area.
not really a good place for WL to solo since u have your own buffs. i think tho, since you are a mystic, they may give you emp, concentration, and bts. not sure what the other mage-type buffs are. the nice thing about this area is that you can control pretty much everything, including what kind of mobs you kill, x1/2, x1, x2, x4, and whether theya re melee or nuking mobs. also, its near impossible to get trained here since the 1/2 mobs go down in a couple hits, and the aggro ones are not social with the pets. golden spice gives you only adena drops and crystal spice gives you A grade weapon recipies. in C5 you will be able to use golden spice on the mobs and also manor them, so expect bots to own this whole area >.<
feed them to the little buffalo's they get bigger and bigger and if they are trained buffalo's they will say trained in title. Becareful though once they grow up big they are tough to kill and all the little animals in the barn will want to atk you to along with the aggro things that want to seem to kill your trained pet. I did get empower,concentration and accumen. The DA I was with got btb, vr and hp regen. I got mp recharge and he got heals.

for fighters, the trained pets also give guidance and haste, less any buffs you already have. so if you use a haste pot, they will only buff you twice.
wow...so if i was to continue to train my baby buffalo up ther would it xp faster?
