So I was thinking of twinking an elf. How bad is the pole nerf for elves in D grade? I have a top D weapon and VR4. I'm asking because I don't want to run to mammon, trade at the last minute, and find it useless then get stuck with a pole when the rewards period ends.
pole usage was nerfed for anyone without pole masteries, but all it means is, you can't it more than 3 at a time with the pole. if you have a group of 6 mobs infront of you...you'll only hit 3 at a time
Really? I've been using my SK to hate aura and tank for my elven wizard friend who uses a pole and she can still hit about 6 mobs at a time no problem. I can pull a whole room and be standing in a pile of seal stones in no time.
Elven wizard 20-25 in NOS with 2nd top D pole in a few hours no problem here. If you pull more then 1 room maybe you will notice the nerf.
To get best coverage you need to jiggle around a bit to bunch them up, but hitting 4-6 is very possible.
I think that the nerf was on the area attacked - it is much narrower without pole masteries than if you have them. this in turn means you hity less mobs.
