All you can choose is the type ie: dark crystal. The reward is completely random, you can get one recipe, all three recipes (helm, gloves, boots) or a random number of dark crystal mats (for example). I turned in 13 floors once and got 1 dc helm design 1 dc boot design and 1 dc glove design. That was the last time I ever turned any in.
there is a very very small chance that you get all 3 recipies (helm, gloves, boots) but i only know one person who has been this lucky, and the recipies are only 60%, so even if you get them all you're still not in the clear yet.
Myself and a friend have turned in about 12-15 sets of bp's between the two of us.
1 nm helm recipe
1 dc helm recipe
1 dc glove recipe
2 dc boot recipes
1 maj boot recipe
1 maj glove recipe
The dc helm, glove and one of the boot recipes were all from one set turned in 3 for 1.
So out of the 12-15 sets turned in 5 have been recipes.
About a 33% avg.
If you only do the quest once, and only hand in one set of bp's and get a mat and quit, don't come here and say the quest sucks. Do not say some people are lucky, it's a quest it is random. You could hand in 10 sets of bp's and get all mats, the next five all recipes. It is not the best quest no, we all know that. But in one night 3-4 hrs of xp in toi, we get on average 40-50 paps in a duo, with a few buffpets. Do that often and hand in more then one set of bp's you will get something decent sooner or later.
there is also a chance that you'll get $4000 adena...just for sh... and giggles. my clan has turned in countless sets, mostly gotten mats, but for the last 3 weeks have gotten recipies, like maj boot, glove and helm on the first try to get my recipies :), helm and glove worked, boots failed. next set, maj glove recipie, it worked, next, maj glove recipie, don't think it's used yet. but like the other guy said, i'm random, you never know what you'll get. the 4k adena is a real kick to the family tree seeds though

i agree, it takes way too long to get a full set. the rewards should be higher. like you said, recipies for sure, just a random one. it would be great too if they were higher % but that's not going to happen.
but..... ehhhrrmmm..... is it only from the Messenger Angles (70) and the Hallate Inspectors(68) I can get the papyrus from (the one that turns into TOI BP)?
I'm currently "only" lvl62 SH with tats +4 Int +4 Wit, avadone robe set and a homu +8 acu sword.
other then that I have full PP + SE buff to support me.
sooo.... maybe I should wait a few lvl's before I start wacking some Angles :)
The first time I turned in the blueprints I got all three DC recipes. I turned them in 3 more times and only got 1 fabric each time. So now I just sell the papyrus since they are going for 550k adena now.
