POLL: What's your favorite PvP class?

I am currently enjoying my DE Phantom Ranger, how about you?

PvP ? Whats that ? :p

The only things ive seen so far is either:
1. Gang up 5 or more vs 1 or 2.
2. Kiting slower chars to death.
3. Duke Nukem

All three means no pvp to me.
Did i miss something ? Guess not.

Edit: on topic my SH is good for pks.

i'm enjoying the archer class too. Silver Ranger. Great for open field PvP...not that fake arena crap

and getting ganked, jumped, run over is all apart of PvP...
you're lucky to get a nice even field of PvP...but still seeing how many you can take out before 5 opponets run you over is kinda fun too :)

As a fellow PR I'm also enjoying PvP. As I'm currently not involved in any server politics that generally means attacking or being attacked by some random guy in the field while soloing.

I play a bounty hunter for him 95% of all time its clear how the PvP ends at least if your oppoment is knowing what he does the other 5% is the luck factor.

well try taking a bow with you, you can carry a bow \ 'n arrows no problem, at least you'll have better chance, and by the amount of hp a dwarf has, you might be able to take down the weaker mage/archer

I've been in situations where we were outmanned, outclassed according to L2 community, and we still won with NO deaths, lol. By outclassed I mean that we were all support and melee with 2 archers where the other group was a Necro/nuker zerg with more numbers than us.

****, quoted for truth...this game doesnt have PVP much anymore since the new clan war system, its gank city since you dont have to let people flag anymore.

though sometimes some real PVP.

Well ok thanks for the posts guys, but kind of getting back to the topic - I'd like to hear ideas on what the best class to PvP with from some who have had success with theirs.

Necro nuker zerg with a low lvl BD or none whatsoever. And whom have you been outlvled by? Factor that in fool!

AHHHHHH!

I think my thread has been officially hi-jacked. I guess what I really want to know is whats better for PvP - a Phantom Ranger, or a Silver Ranger ?

Siege? PR
Gank? PR
Small pt? SR
PK? SR

Sieges don't happen that often so no counting.

I think gladis is most fun to play fullbuffed <3

Hmm interesting - I guess I don't know what small pt is, and what is the difference between gank and pk ? And why do you think SR or PR is better in those situations ? -thanks for your time btw.

because SRs are faster, so they can hunt a single person down, Stun Shot them, and pk them before stun wares off, in a gank situation, PR is better (not my opinion) because of their high STR, they kill faster.

And maybe small pt is small party?

yea you're probly right. hmm ok, what's good besides silver rangers ?

TH all the way baby...
IMO nukers in pvp require a limited amount of skill, are not exceptionally fun.
Archers are ok but pretty boring to fight against or watch.
Daggers are pretty kewl overall ;) ... despite the fact we suck :)

I will bite, Orcs in general are awsome PvP players!!!!

Big, mean and green FTW!

Siege- PR - When you are targetted by an enemy party, you die. There is no avoiding it, you're dead, especially on an archer. Kite away and pray maybe, but SR/PR don't really have the hp for that. PR has highest DPS with tats and moving (HE does good but thats with Snipe which makes him immobile aka dead at a siege).

Gank - PR - This is a party of players dropping another party while they are: a) hunting mobs and just pulled a few adds b) afk or medding. Gank means you already have the advantage and just want to kill fast as hell.

Small pt - SR - This means the SR has the advantage self buffed. The high crit rate dominates combat in the self buff regime. Disagree? Look at olympiad. SR is one of the toughest fights there 1v1.

PK - SR - Run speed. When you go red, you don't want to stay and wait for a zerg to loot your ***. SR can truck it outta there and log/hunt halfway across the map faster than you can say OMGPWNZR. You could potentially drop a mage in his pt, and be gone before the pt realized what happened.

People will mention melee, which is ******ed to say because they obviously can't pvp alone without a large pt backing them. Otherwise you are kited and useless.

HE is a unique archer in that the runspeed isn't there (or at least not for more than 10 seconds). They are great in 18v18 IMO because of the heavy damage and high hp. You don't go down terribly easy, and you don't dish out meager damage. As you get bigger in pvp, nobody survives that gets targetted (by smart players) and as you lose buffers, the human classes tend to get weaker.

Personally I will sub a HE, get a focus Drac bow, and go - dex + str and wear hvy armor. Not because I think it's better, but because my main is a tank, and people will be confused which class I am on during pvp.
