Hi, I'm still quite new to the game and i have a couple questions about crafting. I'm always finding these recipes for various armor parts or a weapon. I know that a dwarf class can craft them, but how do i get them crafted if I'm not a dwarf? Do I have to go to town, find a dwarf player, give him the recipe, the mats, and crafting fees (if he/she charges any) to have it made?
Or can an npc do it for me? I see some NPC blacksmith dwarves in town, but it seems they only craft smple items, or am I doing something wrong?
you are right, dwarf NPCs only craft simple items, like materials, if you use them the recipie goes poof gone, whereas a player who is a dwarf can add that recipie to a list of crafts and use it many times to make items. low-level crafts (for non-grade items) are not worth making, you are better off to sell the mats you would have used on them to other people in giran, to make more money. note that a dwarf with a recipie in their recipie book can make a craft shop, do not trust a dwarf to "hold onto" your materials while crafting an item, on the faith that they are honest. best thing to do would be to keep one copy of each recipie you get, maybe later you will make a low-level crafter alt and these recipies will be useful to you. low-level crafter alts are very good for making soulshot/spiritshot, you save money by rolling your own.
