Why does a Phantom Ranger gets Sting?

I'm doing a Phantom Ranger and now I see it will get Sting until Level 74, but the skill is only for Sword, Daggers and Duals. So my question why get I such a skill? And if it is a fault change it, probably to fast mana recovery or hp recovery ^^
bcuz dagger skills are still useful until around 52, and pve with a dagger is always a viable manaconserving option.
YEs very useful when you get a skill until 74 and you don't you it anymore after 52? No, I don`t think it is very useful because: 1. I have to switch weapons before 2. It doesn't bleeds everytime (What a Pity) 3. Without Dagger Mastery a dagger isn't very useful.
And if thats the answer, why gets no other class dagger skills until 74?
If you don't like the skill, do not train it.

I wish I had your problems and have skills, that I do not want to use.

Sting isn't at all related to the class route you chose, it's something that all DE Fighters get no matter what. Think of it in the same terms of Drain Health and Poison.

It's not a skill you'd normally bring out, but it does have its uses. If you find yourself in a 1 on 1 battle with a high hp character you can pull a non grade dagger and attempt a sting before switching back to your bow. I'd really only reccomend this during a battle you think you're going to lose however, as attempting this can turn the battle in your favor or leave you vulnerable to an attack that will guarantee a loss.

It's also good for griefing certain afk players...
1. Please give real answer and not only that you are not satisfied with the question.

Its just silly to give a bow user a skill he cant use. Maybe it is sometimes nice. But only while it should be an regular dark elves tribe skill they get isn't a real answer?

I want a real suggestion why you get this skill, no answer what you can do with it. And no I don't buy me a C-Grade Dagger only to use one skill. And the chance to drop either the dagger or the bow is just too high. (one of it have to be in your inventar)

Go ask the developers. They're they only ones who know.

so any other melee needs to carry bow for pvp but since you are an archer you have a I'm free to whine right?
I am treasure hunter and I do carry bow, most melees do carry bow so learn to take advantage of all your skills. I am happy I have long shot 1 and stun shot 3, enjoy you can level sting or if you dont want enjoy the simple fact you have cheaper (SP-wise) skills.
I cannot answer why the developers gave DE's higher levels of sting. I have a hunch.

I can tell you several applications for it's use, but I'm sure you've already sorted that out. It helps give you options in terms of playstyle.

What if you were a PR who couldn't afford a bow, but could afford a dagger? What if you preferred to conserve mp by hunting with a dagger? What if you encounter a mob that is archery resistant, but not dagger resistant (rare, I know, but possible)? Sting enables you to hunt with the dagger and still take advantage of the overhit xp bonus. It's all about versatility and offensive skills, which is why quite a few people choose the PR over other archer classes.
