Quick question about manor system

OK,, so i read the manor system guide and decided to try it out.
I am trying coda lutas.
I harvested 4(just for experiment) and brought it back, and they were buying back at 390, and i got type I mats but no money?
Wtf is this?
Can someone just clarify how we are to make money off manor system?
The buy back value is how many materials you'll receive, based on the NPC price of the materials being given out.

That is, the goal of the manor system is to gain materials rather than pure adena. Rather than sell these materials back to NPCs you'll want to take them to a town like Giran where you can sell them at up to 10 times their value to other players, depending on the type of material and the market price.

You'll find that you can make money very quickly if you find the right materials to sell, though the real challenge is getting to the manor manager before he's filled his seed quota. As the manor system is entirely player controlled you might also find that it's completely useless in certain areas on certain servers.
Another question for the masses. Would you rather have Alt seed and get your drops as well as adena? Or is standard seed good enough for you? Manor Lords, why dont you set alt seed as Type II and standard seed at Type I rewards. That would help fit the bill for all kinds of farmers.

Some economic problems in the Kingdom of Aden is due to lack of manor love. As there are only seven, soon to be eight castles on each server. There are seventy-two Lords out there. You know who you are.

I tell you, get a manor advisor!! Manor can be a great source of income for you, and a general help to the masses that play this game. Then again perhaps you are just a greedy-bastard content to lord it over your fellow gamers.

Edit: read further that alt seed has their own rewards. Perhaps the farmers should just be more vocal about what the current mat demand is. On the other hand perhaps Manor Lords are counting on this and just sit and control the prices of certain mats to be a Lineage II verson of ExxonMobile, BP, Enron... on purposely making a shortage so you can pad your own vaults.
Alt seeds are more expensive to make and to produce items...the Castle Lord gets hit twice.

And for the Seeder using Alt or Regular....it is up to that person.....if they are seeding for just a little extra then use Alt but if you really need a mat to craft something or hope to resell go for regular.

Lute coda gives Iron Ore as Type I reward. If you turned in 4 at 390a each, you got 1560a worth of Iron. Iron has a base price of 200a, so you got 7 Iron Ore (any extra amount is truncated.)

On my server, Iron is selling for about 800 to 1100a each. So you got mats worth 5600a to 7700a for your 4 humble Lute Codas. Not bad, eh?

You make money using the Manor System by turning in about 200 of those puppies. That would give you 78,000a in Iron, or 390 Iron. At 1000a each, that would give you 390,000a. The trick of the manor is to click fast enough on turn in to beat the other... err.. folks-who-click-very-fast at turn-in time (6:06pm CST.)

Nope, they are not harder to make. In general they provide more profit over one crop, but their market share is narrow and they are not that profitable for mats-oriented seed farmers. Let me explain it.

Manor lord makes money selling seeds. In general regular seeds limit is a bit lower than crop limit. That is, at best manor will sell as many regular seeds as you buy crops. In reality manor sells about 1/4-1/2 of crops amount (it's quite enough for seeders to generate crops limit).
For alternative seeds limit is as much as x10 times as crops buyback. That is, you sell more seeds.
Every seed being sold generates some profit to manor lord. It's not big, but still it adds some money. With proper set up manor system supports itself more or less (taxes included, even 5% is just enough).

For seeders alternative seeds are not that "welcome". Generally seeders concentrate on making as many crops in a period of time as possible. So they don't really hope on drops during this time. Also common trend exists nowaday - bot seeders. That is, you seed on mobs being killed by someone else. Real players won't allow you to do so, but some bots will. You don't have to kill mobs doing so, full bot group does it for you... Well, it's quickest way to make crops.
With this scenario i mind alternative seeds are not very useful - they fail big time, and you don't get as many crops. For 20 lvl seeds seeding success rate is about 1/20 for x1-x2 mobs, for 66 lvl crops seeding success rate is about 1/3. Not that much, really.

So... why do they eist at all and can be used? If you hunt in a group and have some spare time (and a bit of mana) you can make few crops. It's a viable option, much like antoher quest. Rewards are not that fantastic, but they worth the efforts if done in addition to regular hunting.
