I found the game going sweet. Now TK lvl 42 (my friend from RL OL 45), low C grade armor, top D grade weapon (borrowed), good D grade stuff for my dwarf level 15, and some millions in inventory. I want to say thank you to everyone from whom i received some help: top NG stuff, later, middle D grade stuff, lot of usefull information, and so on. Doing raid bosses was my main leveling and farming task levels 20-40. After this, making raid is less profitable if any, and some people posted it in forums (raid bosses not good from lvl 40-59). I know the coming times will be more challenging, and many people just reroll to have an easy life, but i am going to try enter the hard part of the game, and choose one side to fight for.
TK ftw
rare class
Go +5 con and see if any melee in the game can kill you.

TK ftw
rare class

U give the boy false hope of ever reaching 75, yes, TKs are rare for a reason, ull figure it out unless u stay neutral...
Yeah but look at Mikage. Hes a 76+ TK (3rd class changed so ET) and hes still kickin it. Wait till C5 and a TK might be a little better for PvP.
Hard for all tanks really. I mean I think we have more summoners than tanks. Since they aren't that necessary in regular groups they can have a hard time, especially one like the TK with little damage capability.
I'm guessing all of noobs understand that we won't play significant parts of the game (unless perhaps someone plays 10 hours a day for 6 months or something on one toon).
There is still a lot to enjoy through the 30's and 40's with various toons.
TK's are SIMPLE to level compared to all the types I've played (orc fighter mysteriously absent--as is human mystic).
They can tank on RB's through the lower levels very well and solo anything that isn't red to them pretty well.
He should level the toon he likes as far as he feels like it imo--regardless of popularity or utility.
Can't imagine most of us will see antharas anyway...and seiging non-aligned is a good way to get serially killed on our server.
There is a LOT of depth in this game (and challenge) through the 40's. He'll learn that 42-52 is a LOT slower than everything he has played so far in total. My clanmates at 60 tell me the next 10 levels will be a rude awakening for me too!
Might as well enjoy the journey as far as I can tell...whether anyone values your toon or not (said the guy with a DA and WS).
TK's rock. I have a lvl 47 one. I'd level it for sure if i had that sorta time.

Go +5 con and see if any melee in the game can kill you.

A Destroyer would run out of shots before his CP was down, I'd bet.

Yeah but look at Mikage. Hes a 76+ TK (3rd class changed so ET) and hes still kickin it. Wait till C5 and a TK might be a little better for PvP.

Heh...Mikage isn't Mikage...and as such doesn't count.

You're right though...the original was one of the first TK's and was a nice guy to boot....

It's far from an impossible class, and their dmg isn't THAT bad. Stick with a focus SA instead of a health SA and you'll do as well as any dwarf or SwS or DA or pally or glad or destroyer in terms of soloability....of course it gets slow post 60...the game wasn't designed to be a bowl of cherries for the solo player past that point.

If you don't like people, or can't make friends you're going to pay for it at that lvl, regardless of what class you are....until then though I think you'll find the TK to be a great class to play =)
I DO know a TK who's lvl 62 who solo'd for the most part. Slow but doable.
<--- TK 65
Soloed just about from 1 - 52 most of 52-60 but with groups when I could get my but in one. The Apostate was my home for so long dualboxing with an out of party SE and sometimes in party cause she wanted me to help her lvl too :)
I love my Tk, my very first Character and I will stick with him no matter how hard it is.
Not easy to get groups if your not in a Clan, Ally, or have friends. Even then its still not easy to get groups.
It takes Patience and Dedication to play a TK, and a lot of both. Enjoy playing the TK, done be afraid to reroll if you get bored
you got level 45 in one month o_O?

how often do you play? i only got level 25 in one month q_q
I play a lot, yeah, and know how to play this (i was in a free server before). Is true that i received some help, but not too much (top NG stuff at lvl 12 and some cheap D grade stuff later), but i joined RBs from the beggining, and was lucky to get some good things, make money, and continue. After two months i am level 51, have an Artisan lvl 31 and a Shillien Oracle lvl 20 too. Almost ready with my B grade armor. I find soloing hard right now, and very slowly for my taste. I guess i am going to join a main clan before i thought, cause i need active people around.
Sheesh, 51 after two months, coming in as a new player, un-twinked! I wish leveling had always been that easy... I remember back when the best xp you could get at level 30 was 10% an hour in Cruma Tower. x.x
Jesus Christ. I've played for almost two years and my highest character is 50. =(

Granted I switched servers twice, but merr.
