I am using heavy armor atm but was wondering if maybe light would be a better choice for speed and evasion or does this compromise my PD too much? Also what tats are best ?

You dont get any armor masterys at all after 40, and because your an origanal "knight" class, you have some heavy armor masteries. You will really not evade, and light armor will only make you easier to kill. Stick with your heavy.
well you can try PL for kicks, but you dont have any bonuses from light, you may use tallum light for MP regen but still. It's clear - heavy.
And if you have female BD - tallum light just owns.
Only problem is that most people dont have a SE up their sleeve to drag around everywhere...
And PL only works for 40-52.. not 30+
If your going to be doing any pvp though, you really have to go Heavy, otherwise your a little to fragile. Personally, Doom heavy for B grade is way better then BW in both pvp and pve... your so much harder to kill, and in a duo or trio ur a fine tank.

Doom makes your easier to kill then BW....?
Not to sure about that... It raises your hp and Con quite a bit. Although it decreases your p attack, doom makes it much harder for other people to kill you, although it may be harder for you to kill them... but thats another story.
I dont know, I found that when 1v1ing a BD, I could beat the one in BW pretty much everytime because they are so much more vulnerable. Having a high p attack doesnt mean a whole lot if your dead. Fighting BD's in doom however was much harder, simply beacause u do so much less damage to them, and they still dished out alot of damage with their crits.
By the time someone is hitting you, it's not like you're going to survive anyway, in PvP.
And in PvE, the BD's lifeline is VR - so yes, reduced attack power can mean a rapid drop in HP ending in a dirt nap (although of course, since you go out to level in Doom rather than switching into it mid-battle, you will simply notice that you are an inferior DD tank compared to a BW BD in the first place).

P.S go for Zubei Heavy if you realy like to get the max out of BD ability the bonus's from zubei are beyond BW or Doom
sry that was a little unclear. By 1v1, i did not mean two BD's fighter, but another class vs a BD. In regards to the armor type i guess it all boils down to the playstyle u enjoy.

A BD's power (other than his dances) is in his P.Atk. So Zubei does nothing for you. A little extra P.Def? Who cares? It isnt going to help you survive anything that would kill you in BW.
