I just got done with a siege and I could not rez anyone. Have the rules changed? I used to be able to. Is there a life crystal that controls the ability to rez on the field? All I got was a "unsuitable terms" message every single time. I am a bishop. I'm not talking about a scroll here.
I've been told that you can rez if you are defending and the person you're trying to rez is also signed up, or if you're attacking and you have a flag up.
My understanding is that you cannot rez anyone on the seige grounds. Sometimes battles continue past that boundry, and folks lieing dead off the grounds can be rez'ed.
If you are signed up to defend, you can rez another person signed up to defend. If you have a flag up, and are signed up to attack, you can rez someone else in a clan with a flag up that is signed to attack. No flag or no signup = no rezzing.
In almost every seige I've gone too ALOT of people have absolutly no idea how the rez work.
So everyone pay attention and read this:
If you die outside the seige grounds you can be rezed (it does not matter if you are registered attacker/defender or not)
On seige grounds:
- Attackers: you can ONLY be rezed if a flag is up for your clan. You cannot be rezed under any circumstances if there is no flag. HOWEVER, if you die when there is no flag up and the flags are put up (after you die) then you can be rezed once they are up
-Defenders:
If you are signed to defend you can rez UNLESS the life crystals are down. Then you cannot rez.
-Unregistered: No matter how much you beg to be rezed, you CANNOT be rezed on seige grounds.
This information is 100% accurate, at least for the attackers/unregisred people. I do beleive elliebelly is right for the defender part but i cant confirm since I havnt defended in a long while....
We usually defend :) So really to make it totally accurate its signed defenders can rez other signed defenders as long as the life crystals are still up. Unsigned are still out of luck on the siege field.
<- Always attacks ;)
I think you and I have covered every possible situation. We make a good team :D
Hopefully the word will spread and people wont be confused anymore about rezing during seiges (and I wont have to explain to someone on seige grounds why he cant be rezed. lol)
I agree with elliebelly, you probably can
Reverse could also be true: Attacker rezing a Defender
But I'm not testing it, lol
good way to grief your opponents XP!
Even tho elliebelly is right your ally will probably kill you for it, unless you say your going to rez them so you can kill their unbuff ***.(granted if they accept)
You can rez anyone, even if you are not signed or signed for another side. Only the side and lfie crystal/flag of wanna-be-ressed person is important.
I'm quite sure about it, since I have ressed our fellow "attackers" during castle transfers in our alliance being in attack/defense/unsigned state.
Thanks for the answers everyone. Elly has got to be right about the life crystals having something to do with it. It was late in the game and the attackers had broken through when I was trying to rez.
Sadly, most people I meet at a siege STILL think you can't be rezzed on the battlefield. They die and instantly hit that button before I even get a chance to rez in alot of cases.
On a related note, anyone notice the increasing numbers of clans showing up for both support and attack that don't bother to sign up? It really steams me when one of my most valuable skills is negated because signing up doesn't really mean anything to alot of clans anymore.
The one situation you did not cover is dusk/dawn. On hindemith, dawn was the winner for a cycle my clan was holding goddard in. The rest of my alliance had left the ally, and went dusk in an attempt to get anakim to ourselves from the pesky farmers. We lost the dusk, rejoined the alliance, and were unable to rez on the siege grounds.
Only two seals that dawn won were avarice and gnosis. I am not sure if it was a glitch or not, but I couldn't rez anyone the whole siege. We lost the castle quickly, went back and managed to get up a flag. I still could not rez my clannies.
So, for NCSoft, why can't I rez? Is this the only skill not allowed on the battlefield? EE's can PR, I can heal, SE's can recharge, prophets can buff, nukers can nuke and so on. Why can't my lvl 76 cardinal rez?

THE Goddard seige on hind??
<- Was registered attacker, 99% sure I could rez when flags where up.
Correct my if Im wrong.... but if my memory is good, I dont think your flags lasted more than a few seconds (less than a min) when you guys came back to try to reclame castle. If you coudnt rez as defenders you got me there.... but when you came back as attackers if your flags didnt last too long, you couldnt rez.
Another possible explanation would be that if you switch from defense to attack (or vice versa), you can no longer rez. Similar to not getting new doors when you've successfully scribed and taken the castle?
I've seen attackers show up only 2 mins after being killed. Being banished two towns away doesn't seem to be that much of a penalty. It's FAR worse to be stuck in the spawn room at the castle when the life crystals are down (and you weren't smart enough to port somewhere else).
She/he mentioned that they could not rez as defenders BEFORE the crystals or whatever they are called got taken down and before they switched from defenders to attackers.
