DLE + Crit Dmg doesnt work???

So i ve been trying a DLE +4 SA Critical Dmg (Boosts your P.Atk +326 during a critical attack) and a Dragon Slayer +0 no SA.

My p.atk difference is like 80 P.Atk more with the Dragon Slayer but i still crit more dmg with the Dragon Slayer (with the DLE i am supposed to get ~1060 P.Atk during a crit attack). A lot more than 808 that i have with the Dragon Slayer.

So here are the images:

DLE Crit Dmg:

Dragon Slayer Crit Dmg:

DLE +4 P.Atk (calculate +326 P.Atk during a critical hit):

Dragon Slayer (just play DS with no SA and +0)

So what could be wrong? I mean there must be something wrong. I cant crit less when i am supposed to have more P.Atk with the critical hit!!
Not exactly:
this is how crit dmg buffs work and stack. and this is what makes archers so overopowered.
i suppose you have CH buffs - thus dw1. i suppose no ant queen ring either.
the difference between crit dmg SA and plain pattack is simple. crit dmg sa doesnt get soulshots OR buffs bonus. it's plain attack similar (but not exactly) to visious stance that's added w/o any modifier to critical.
i can check w/ exact formulae since the data you provide is plentry. just tell about the buffs and i can do the math.

good luck.
Your problem is you're comparing two different types of weapons but not looking at all the differences.

DLE - Fast Attack speed, one handed, defensive
DS - Normal Attack speed, two handed, offensive

First of all, one handed weapons are more defensive than two handed weapons (i.e. they allow the use of a shield). A top two handed sword ALWAYS does more damage than a top one handed sword. Two-handed swords are more comparable to dual swords (which also do more damage than one-handed). One-handed and two-handed swords should have the same native critical rate. So, after one hundred swings of either you should get approximately the same number of criticals. BUT, it takes far less time to swing the DLE 100 times than it takes to swing the Dragon Slayer. So, in a given amount of time you'll get more criticals with the DLE but they will do more damage with the Dragon Slayer.

I just checked the numbers and the Dragon Slayer's native patck is 22% higher than the DLE. That should give it a little perspective.
Since the Dragon Slayer is so much stronger than the DLE to begin with, it has to add much less to the crits to get the same effect. Nothing weird. The Dragon slayer is adding about 80 less P.Atk. per crit than the DLE, but since it is about 80 P.Atk. Higher to begin with, the damage comes out almost even. Basically what you have is a DLE that crits as hard as a Dragon Slayer. Enjoy.
guys this has nothing to do w/ the OP complain.
it's the way crit. dmg buffs work. if you have dance of fire D.Slayer will outdamge DLE quite noticable.Kitty buff ands even more, so does ant queen ring.
All those are multipliers based on the pattack AND modified by soulshots.

SA is plain pattack modified by nothing. DLE seems more DPS for SwS (also way better since SwS can utilize shield, esp w/ CH buffs).

I looked again at the pics: those are prophet buffs and VR not CH buffs. So w/ it's DW3.
So Stani, are you saying that there is a class that can crit for more damage with a DLE than with a Dragon Slayer? I am assuming you have the same buffs when trying both. I could be conviced that a Sws will do more DPS with a DLE than a DS... but it would take some evidence. Sws' have sword mastery with is applied to both one and two handed swords. Sws will take less damage with DLE due to shield and can therefore fight harder mobs for longer without rest, but I'd be fairly certain that the DPS is almost identical and more likely in favor of the DS (assuming you're not missing your target). If you're testing this on mobs with good evasion you might be having an accuracy problem in which case the faster attack speed weapon will certainly have higher DPS.

Regarding the OP's question:
"So what could be wrong? I mean there must be something wrong. I cant crit less when i am supposed to have more P.Atk with the critical hit!! "
- Yes you can when there's a significant initial difference in patack of the weapons. But yes Stani I understand that the key difference is as you asid, it's a matter of to which number the additional patack is added (and at what step in the calculation).
>>So Stani, are you saying that there is a class that can crit for more damage with a DLE than with a Dragon Slayer? (TH for sure can [over time]... but that's out of topic and again read below, passives and VS - anything that swings faster is better)
DLE+4, SA CD vs D.Slayer+0.

crit rate will be the same but DLE swings faster and sword maseries are added on every hit (masteries are not affected by weapon pattack or anything, just type of weapon).
Accuracy of both weapons is the same so missing doesnt count.

I said the opposite: due to stacking of critical buffs any pattack (on status screen) is more useful w/ the amount of crit. dmg buffs stacked [dw/fire dance/kitty/ant queen ring].
W/o crit dmg buffs [or even pattck buffs, or even pattack debuffs] DLE/CD is times better than DS (also even singled criticals should hit harder). W/ DW only DLE should be still better in terms of DPS but singled criticals should be lower.

For example on my TH I usually dont bother w/ VS if i have DW and Fire dance, effect is not that great on normal hits. While I use it w/ DW only.

[edit] comment about SwS was inspired of the destroyers who have 2H mastery.

But now I am lazy (and a bit drunk and it's close to 3am to do calculations now). So if anyone wishes, please.
I have DW3 as a buff. Bust still, the SA clearly says it. During a critical attack P.Atk is increased by 326. How is it increased by 326 when i do less dmg? The DS yes, has a bit more base P.Atk but still! As for the two handed weapon mastery, i think the Sword / Blunt mastery also includes two handed weapons. (not duals)

no 'but still', you can find the answer over at your parallel post at blah: http://www.l2guru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39718
yeah it sucks when you dont realize the actual effects of a weapon and their intracacies with their bland descriptions especially when you spend that much.
I think the issue is:
Where in the damage equation is the patk from the SA added?

I think that all SA's happen after everything else is calculated.

This means that on a crit with the DLE your base patk is multiplied by SS and DW and then the extra patk from the SA is added, this value is compared with the mobs pdef and damage is calculated.

With the DS the base patk is higher so after the multiplication by SS and DW the value used to calculate damage is higher.

Another way to think about it:
The difference in patk with a DLE equipped and DS equipped after multiplication by SS and DW is larger then the amount the Crit Damage SA adds.

An easy way to test this would be to repeat your tests without using SS and/or without DW.
That sucks, i could just get a DS +6 with the money i spent for the DLE and do more dmg....
for thet money DLE+4/SA (like 200m...) i'd get OE'd (+8-9) dama/focus and never look back.
I have a Dama Focus +8 but, i decided to get the extra 10% dmg in PvP since thats one of the reasons i play Lineage :P
Not to XP and get high lvl. XPing is just a path to get better and better at pvp.
PvP for SwS = bow, also PvP before 70s is kinda pointless (and well you have -9 Con doesnt look like pvp setup). Stick to Dama for PvE and get carnage/crit bleed for pvp.
