Dmg going down?

So I just hit 20....got some new gear.....and now my spells do not hit as hard as they did with my old....my Matk is MUCH higher then it was and I got a Class D weap....yet White mobs I was 1 shotting before are now 2-3 shots :confused: any ideas? And no...I do not have that Equipement Penalty for having better equipement then I should

A couple questions first

What class are you playing?
Have you upgraded all your skills?
Are you using SS sps or Bsps if so are they D grade or still NG?
What weapon and armor did you upgrade to?

yet White mobs I was 1 shotting before are now 2-3 shots

the only way a 1 shot mob would become a 3 shot is if you dont have a weapon equiped
a 1 shot could become a 2 shot by useing non-blessed sps

Or if you bought a D grade weapon and didnt relise you also needed to get D grade shots too. The NG shots wold still look like they are active in your shortcut bar but wouldnt work anymore. I suspect this is the case since I had a newb friend that did the same thing.

Are you sure you are doing less damage at all? Just because it takes you more hits to kill white mobs doesn't mean you are doing less damage. It could mean any number of things from the mob having higher m.def to the mob having higher hps to the mob being resistant to the type of spell you are using.

Yes, that is a bit of information which is missing. Do you now two-shot the SAME mobs you one-shot before, or do you two-shot different white mobs? E.g. when you go outside Dion, there are the floating eyes which might be white to you, but they are double hp.

Apart from that, I guess the "no grade SpS not working on D grade weapon" problem seems to be the most likely one.

Being newbie character you've got empower from Newbie guide. Now it's gone (at 20 you don't get empower again).

Also you have to use bsps to 2-shot mobs in general.

Also mobs of 20+ level are harder than those of lower levels, so if you use old spells, they might be harder (take more shots).
