SwS Sword Mastery?

Does the SwS's Sword Mastery apply for DualSwords or 1Handed swords only? I'm under the impression its for 1Handed swords only. Could someone verify for me?

And would this be the optimal equiptment for a 53 SwS?:Full Heavy Doom armor/gloves/boots, +4Dama/Foc, Doom Shield.

Any opinions for BG gear would be apreciated too.

it works w/ 2Handel and one handed swords. Dual sword masteries are granted to gladiator and blade dancer only.
Doom heavy is no for SwS, SwS has mediocre damage to start w/ and gimping it w/ doom heavy is no wise. BW/Avadon and Dama/Focus.

Since we are on the subject of SwS.. Could someone include there experiance with the SwS class and what dyes that had the most success with.

My experience with them sucked until 49, and alot of people will tell you this. Everyone I knew had no clue how a SwS worked so I've had a rough time with them and wasted alot of money on different weapons. Plus I was really frustruated with their lack of PvP skills. But after reading those threads (thanks for posting them btw) I relized I was tyring to play my char the wrong way lol. If ya have any questions just read those posted above.

there are 2 specialized setups+tons betweeen
DD setup: bw heavy, greatsword+focus +4str-4con/+4dex-4con fastest char in game, nice atk speed,constant crits..., get a bow for pvp (my build)
tank setup: doom heavy, dama+focus+doom shield, dyes maybe -4dex+4con
lots of hps, but you dont do much of a dmg, in pvp you are concentrating on surviving

I like the idea of a DD set up but, it sounds like a fast death with all of that -con... i <3 my HP's ^^

Yup, u have to decide witch path to follow.
I currently am 61lvl Tallum Heavy and DLE Critical Damage and Dragon Slayer no SA. I have +5STR +4DEX and -11CON. Have 1k CP and 2k HP. Its quite good for XP but very hard for PvP.

And on the inverse side at lvl 53, my SwS is in Zubei heavy with a waraxe with health. With BtB 5, she goes over 4k hp. She has survived very easily in sieges, even at her low level, which has been nice. On the down side, her own damage output is very poor. Because her groups are usually levels 65-75 though, her damage output is irrelevant anyway.
