Hey everyone! Just wanted to pop in and say hello. A friend of mine at work convinced me to re-up my L2 account. I haven't played since Chronicle 2, and he said that there is a lot of new things.
I have to admit that L2 is very beautiful to play, but the game I was previously playing (WoW) is much easier to the casual gamer like me!
Anyway, I'm going to give it a second run and see what I can come up with. I like the PvP aspect of the game. Much different that WoW and a lot more like my old stomping grounds of Ultima Online.
I'm a casual gamer, with the only time to play at night, ususally around 930pm PST. I enjoy roleplaying to the fullest extent, yet I haven't found any RP that can keep my interest since I left UO.
I'll be online tonight. Not quite sure yet what I plan on playing, but if anyone would like to give me some advice, feel free to post here or PM me. I don't have a character name to give out yet, but as soon as I do, I'll update this thread.
One thing that I am looking for is to try out roleplaying a bad character. Not necessarily an evil character, like say Lord Ariakas from the Dragonlance series... but maybe an honorable bad person, much like Lord Soth, the Death Knight from the same series.

WoW is a great game if your into constantly upgraded gear each month so the Powerful can be that much more powerful and the casual(who they are marketing to) gets remmed in the kester....not to mention PvP so bad it will make your eyes bleed just thinking about it......
I too am back for another try. I gave up on my warcryer Shunsuke the day WoW was relased and have decided to come back to Lionna. Hopefully, I'll recognize some names from C1.

Anyway, welcome to Lionna! If you need an RP clan/alliance that isn't so dark *points at Olo* then come look at the ImperialLegion. If you need info about the clans in it and their websites (sorry, forgot what they were at the moment >.<) give me a pm or send me a mail to Mehrunes. I'll be glad to answer in questions and help you adjust from C2 to C4 =P
Just wanted to update this thread. Last night, I only got about an hour to play, but I made it up to level 5 pretty quickly. Still bumming around Talking Island, killing wolves and kelters and still.
Anything of interest on the island that I should know about? Good hunting areas? Specific quests? What about that Sword quest I read about?

the elven ruins on TI are pretty cool actually. Couple good quests later on for you in there.
The guy in the hut on north side of island, by the spiders, gives a good quest too---sorry, it's been so long I can't remember npc or quest names off the top of my head.
You can kill millions of those spiders.
When you can take them the werewolf chieftain guys by the obelisk is popular and between the two roads there you can grind very effectively.
Wish I could be specific...it's just been too long since I was there.
