A grade equip for prophets

Player Questions Started Last reply 21 posts
Greetings.
Assuming a hierophant want to become hero, what would be his best equipment?
Assuming he has not so much money (can only afford 1 weapon and 1 a grade set), he solo sometimes, but he goes party a lot because is so slow to solo for his class after B grade, what could be the ideal equipment?
I thought about majestic light and carnage bow (mana up). Because: Not so many mp with light, but indeed best mana regeneration of the 3 kinds of armor. Bow's mana up replaces the absence of the robe. Needs a bow to root and shot monsters/players when in duels or olympiad games; majestic light ideal for using in combination with bow.
Is it very crazy?
It's not crazy it just depends on your playing style.
1.) If you want damage because you solo go Tallum Heavy
2.) If you party more then of course go Maj robe set (faster casting & more mp & regeneration)
Watch out, come C5 Prophets will have a penalty to bows, so for now if you prefer a bow then use it, but come C5 you might have to switch to something use! gl :D
Problem is heavy armor mastery for prophet does not recharge mana. The only one recharging mana is light. No mana recharge ensures you large downtimes, and big possibilities of die because not being able to heal/return for not having enough mp after medium-long leveling sessions.
Also, I think you canno't party with more than 3 person (fighters) and have them well buffed puntually after 20 minutes. Obviously, this thing affects a lot to rbp's.

I think the best choice for A grade prophet is having:

Grinding solo: Nightmare light and dual damascus (no special mana recharge, but high speed and constant leveling)
Grinding with party: Majestic light and carnage bow mana up (high mp and high mp recharge)
Raid Boss party: Majestic robe and carnage bow mana up (tons of mp to throw all the aura and the rest for 30 minutes or more)
PVP: Majestic light and carnage bow mana up (buff your self, root and shot)

Obviously, you will be noble and hero before you can have all this sets, and then it won't have use to you.

About C5, I have heard prophets will hace to use staff >_< Do you know exactly what kinds of weapons will they be able to use without penalty?

Thank you.

wouldn't a polearm be the same as a staff? well almost anyway

You get better mp regen in robes, too - it is a free lvl 1 skill every mystic gets, "mana recovery".

Tested full mana regen from 0 to full with robe and with light.
With light it was 10 minutes to regenerate all the mp, with robe it was 25 minutes. Yes, robe tooks more to regenerate because it has more mp, but doesn't give me 125% more mp than a light, so light recharges faster. At least in prophets.
When I changed from robe to light at the middle of D grade, I noticed I could grind without resting (still can). Robe lets you buff many people, but after that you better leave character selling something and go have a coffee and a smoke. Too large downtimes man; don't say it because I like lights, I say it because it has been tested.
Well, in C5 bow means -8 Accuracy and -Atk.Speed. Check the skillspost recopilation on the flameforum for source. So IMO, bow might not be best idea ^^;
Thats interesting...
So I'm a 52 Prophet & I always group.. I also heal because we don't always have a healer, so I'm constant spamming my MP on Heals & then buffs.. Should I be using BW light armour for better mp regeneration since it's faster, or stick to my BW Robes? (keep in mind I also use my duals to fight so I want to be able to take some hits, with out losing tons of hp)

Then BW light is so much better, looks better then BW robes too...
When you did the test were there other factors? (Like for instance MP regen on the Light armor but not on the robe?)

Robes. Just my personal opinion, You can take hits in robes and have a far greater mp pool for both your heals and your buffs. If you get in trouble, root root root.

The only way you'll be a hero is to either be the only heirophant noblesse on your server or to have points handed to you. At this stage of the game you have to fight far more than just heirophants, you'll get pwnd by quite a few other classes. (Unless you're nya, she's -_-ing awesome.) You'll want heavy for the olympiad, but that's going to cut down on your partying. You'll want to level, because 78>75. Solo is slow, especially without VR. If you can, hold on to a b grade robe set for parties, and try to get an A or S heavy set for olympiad.

As far as your weapon, has it been confirmed that they're screwing over healers with certain weapons in C5? If yes, be careful which weapon you pick. If no, still be careful, NC loves to switch crap up on us. You'll want to go with a damage oriented SA, such as focus. You've already got haste. More crits = more damage = here's for hoping.

My $.02

robe masteries do not say "increased mp regen" because it is a separate skill

I'd have to check it again, but I am pretty sure that all other things the same, my SE regens at the same rate in both light and robes, unless one set has a mp regen set bonus. I'll check it in game.

My SE regens at the exact same rate in Light or Robe.

Just tested it:

with majestic robes, but without circlet (so no set bonus), all standing:

13,13,13,12,13,13,13,12

with no grade light armor:

13,13,13,12,13,13,13,12

with full majestic robe set:

14,13,14,13,14,13,14,13

WTB clear mind skill :(

I cannot really believe that it should be different for prophets, since they have the exact same skills.
Bows are going to be a no no in C5 for Prophets *BOO* (ya I knw I hate them too) lol BUT your best option in my opinion would be go duals with focus (can kill more) or Dagger with focus (crits more) you buff & away you go! GL on becoming a hero, I'll be cheering for ya :D
The BW Robes & light armour sets both have mp regeneration as bonus! I just want to make sure if I switch to light if it will really make a difference in regeneration  (I NEED THE REG) lol especially when I'm healing & buffing..
(P.S To my friends, if I wanted the healing job I would of gone Bishop lol) :D
Well, according to those tests, the answer is no. The robe gives you more MP but less mdef. The light gives more mdef but less MP. You decide what's important.
Eeveryoen who's a prophet or Healer should know the answer to that MP MP MP MP MP MP unless your as battle Prophet who does mroe soloing then parties! (I guess) :) Thanks for the help :)
I knew about that lv1 skills for human wizard.
Observing a lv 61 prophet fully majestic robe equiped and buffed, and without any symbol, and me (lv 59 prophet, doom leather equiped, fully buffed and +WIT'ed), our casting speeds are too similar.
One of the lv1 magician skills says "doubles spells casting when wearing bla blah". Hey, isn't supposed that majestic prophet girl to cast triple faster than me? She is wearing robe, she is wearing majestic, and she has one level of armor masteries more than me... Yes, I am +4WIT, but I don't think +4 doubles my initial casting speed.

My conclusion and of course hypothesis: Lv1 skills are like wind strike; they won't work after you reach C grade.

I suppose someone will tell me about the silliness of my theory, but in case it were right, same would happen with magician's mana regeneration.
hmmm.. I don't know what to think of this.. I'm speechless heh
The robe masteries don't stack, the first one grants you the casting bonus and the rest are just Pdef and whatever else is says it does.
