Quick question. I'm thinking of starting a dwarf to make things and hopefully eventually make a bit of Adena.
I've heard that spoiling has limits on the mob level (same as drops) but what I want to know is does this mean spoil wont (or has limited chance) of working on both much lower and much higher level mobs and if so what is the best range to attack to get spoils I'm looking for.
E.g I'm level 10 so a level 15 won't spoil, neither will a level 5
From what I've observed on my friend's spoiler any mob ranging between light blue and Yellow will give you a certain chance to spoil. Best ones have been the green and whites.
Dark blue you shouldn't even try to waste your mana on those as it will more fail then actually gain. The pink ones are rare to nill.
I suggest you try it on green mobs first and see how successful you get and work up towards white. Just make sure the mobs you try to spoil won't eat you ;)
I'm sure some dwarf players out here will be able to give you more in debt tactical advice as what mobs best to spoil and what region for which player level :)
If you are soloing or carrying a dummy healer with you, then greens are the mobs, you want to spoil. The spoil rate for greens is not reduced. The spoil rate is slightly reduced on light blue and severely reduced on dark blues (all talking the turning blue. Spoil will land on all mobs from white down with 95% chance roughly.)
Fighting yellows or reds is only feasible in a group AND if you do not need to do anything else but spoiling AND if the group is smart enough to recharge your MP. Otherwise you will hardly spoil anything, as the spoil land rate is bad against reds. Sometimes you need 3-4 attempts to spoil a mob, but no mob will live that long in an exp-group.
So my personal advice to professional spoiling: Green mobs and no sharing.
