Not just a topic about armour... 1st off what's the quickest way from 60-61? At EV solo i'm getting about 3.5% XP per 20min buff session.
Next I am probably going for Tallum heavy because I don't PvP BUT I am wondering... I see some BDs in Dark Crystal Leather (+4% atk spd & +4% p atk & +1 str). This is cheaper than Tallum and I know we don't get light armour mastery as BD but is this a useful armour to have? It looks amazing and has fairly good stats.
You will probably mention the lower defences but I have a lvl 52 SE and lvl 52 Prophet always on hand to buff and heal me so I can hunt areas easier.
So I am after opinions on whether it's worth it...

yes i my self use a DC light
it's good when you use a Tsu*Tsu or Tsu*SLS
it's bad chooise if you use A duels
also you need to pump up DEX then from CON you dont need a lot of CON then if you have 2 healers around you =D
If you have two buffers around you, it doesn't really matter what you wear. MP regen is not a concern. Nor is damage intake.
But assuming you want to make their jobs easier and kill quickly, go with Loth's suggestions. A Grade prices being what they are, you might as well buy and get it right the first time. Don't bother with experiments. Light armor will ultimately work against you when you get into your high 60's. Doubt me? Take light armor to VOS and see how quickly the mobs melt that light armor into ****.
As for hunting grounds, leave EV behind. You should have left there at about 53. If you have two buffers, they'll appreciate a spot where there are lots of non-aggro mobs. Even at 61, Bandit's Stronghold area of IT is good for that. Don't be put off by seeing the Light Blues. The sheer volume of mobs and fast respawn rates will pretty much speed you along quickly.
If you want a bit more of a rush, go hunt Grave Predators, Doom Servants and Trees near the Blazing Swamp teleport drop spot. Again with buffers at your back, you should be fine. But keep in mind that all of those mobs are aggro.
Right now I mainly want to just get to 61, I can't afford any A grade once I hit it but as long as it's out the way I am happy. I got a few noobs I wanna level anyway so i can use them to raise the money for A grade along with hunting some high level areas with my buffers too.
