Ketra Orcs/Silnos alliance

Can I stop hunting and stop the quest but maintain alliance? I want to help someone get level 1 and 2 but I don't want to lose my alliance. To help speed things up I'd like to stop gathering quest items.

So what I'm asking is can I stop the quest and not loose my alliance level. In the Black Lion quest you can stop the quest and maintain the mark.
I don't think anybody actually tried stopping the quest, because it would take just too **** long to get back the alliance level if you actually lost it.

But what you can do is keep collecting quest items until you have all you need for the next alliance level - and then just not turn them in. You won't get anymore quest items, and the other player(s) in party with the quest will get them on nearly every mob.
I tried waiting at level 2 but then decided to just finish everything in case someone got frisky and smacked an orc when passing through.
You can stop the quest and retain the alliance mark. We did on our buffers so they wouldn't leech badges from us. But you still can't party with anyone who hurts your allies or you'll break alliance.

I forget where I got these from but I usually just grab useful info and drop them into text files. What applies on one camp should apply to the other also. Or nearly the same. Here you go.

Alliance with the Ketra Orcs (port orc stronghold talk to chief)

so far here is the list of what you need to upgrade levels and what you get access too by killing Silinos

lvl 1 100 soldiers

-orcs no longer aggro you

lvl 2 200 soldiers, 100 captians

-access to wherehouse
-can summon a silinos raid boss (water quest)
-take mane quest to get buffalo horns (war with the silinos quest)
-can trade 55 buffalo horns fro BROWN pouch (adena/mats so far)

lvl 3 300 soldiers, 200 captians, 100 generals

-can use store
-can buy buffs with buffalo horns (what a waste!)
-can buy soe orc villiage for 85 buffalo horns
-can trade 55 buffalo horns fro GREY pouch (adena/mats so far)

lvl 4 300 soldiers, 300 captians, 200 generals, 1 Totem of Valor (through prove your courage quest killing Varka's Hero Shadith raid boss)

-can use gate keeper to port to godard & rune using adena (wow so useful!)

lvl 5 400 soldiers, 400 captians, 200 generals, 1 Totem of Wisdom (through slay enemy commander quest, kill silinos commander Mos)

-more port access! wall of agross, hotsprings, and aden ports

-can buy "blue or yellow cargo box" 60 buffalo hrons (300 manes)
(unknown return)

-can buy "white cargo box" 150 buffalo horns (750 manes)
(unknown return)

-can buy "red file cabinet" 150 buffalo horns (750 manes)
(for random S boot, glove, or helm recs)

-can buy "purple file cabinet" 500 buffalo horns (2500 manes)
(for random S main armor piece rec)

-not sure which one you can get the shield rec from.

**NOTE for all of these you can still randomly get adena instead of rec/items

"War with the Silions" QUEST iin which, like the badges you collect manes from the silinos. you need to be level 2 to be able to take the quest

once you get 100 manes you can trade for 20 buffalo horns, buffalo horns are the currency of the orcs, you use these to buy stuff from the trader, get buffs, they are still quest items so you cannot trade them to other players

**note: this quest seems to slow down the badge quest to upgrade your level, as you can only get a badge or a mane from a kill and not both.

___________
i got a shield recipe from the red cabinet.
___________
The helms/shield/gloves/boots all come randomly from the 750 one
Though I cannot 100% confirm
the 1500 one is the imp gaiters/bp
the 2500 is the body armor pieces for draconic and arcana
___________
I used to get a S Grade Weapon Head from White Cabinet.
and i got a lot of shield recipe from Red Cabinet.
I have a few questions about this quest as I am planning to start it up soon:

1> Is there any difference between siding with the Orcs or Silenos? I seem to recall that the quest to do 3rd class required picking a specific side. Can anyone respond to this?

2> Are the Orcs and Silenos more or less the same type of mob? That is, as a Spellhowler, is there a better one to fight?

3> Does anyone have info on what type of mats are in the different pouches?

1. No. I did my lvl76 quest as an orc ally. Recently I deleted all the ally stuff and started again as a Silenos ally. This was because most of my friends were on the silenos side and I wanted to party with them. Since my lvl76 quest was completed, it wasn't a big deal starting the badge collecting over.

2. The only real difference, imo, is getting to deeper areas of the orc outpost is easier than the silenos outpost. SO we have quite a few hunting spots we can travel to and not draw unholy agro along the way. So it's more a layout thing.

I'm fighting orcs on my SH subclass and not seeing any diff in either mob.

3. Not doing the pouch quests at the moment. Need to finish the mark of alliance levels for my community guide. I've detailed it up to lvl3 on Stratics.
alot of ppl will agree that orcs are easier to kill
if you take a look at the *cough* automated players you will notice they tend to focus on killing silenos because they have better spoils

my tip for choosing a side is to go with what ever your alliance does or the opposite of what the majority of your enemies kill (makes for some pretty easy gank runs)
