First time that I can remember 3 Neutral clans owning Gludio, Dion and Innadril at once.
Very good indicator of the health of the server.
Was a fun seige. Though I know a certain pally who was up too late last night on the 70's rifts, slept in, came to the seige without gemstones and really should have hit the caffiene earlier.
Congrats Infinity, won it even with my piss-poor effort ;)
2) Only the clan that actually owns the castle gets benefits of owning it (money earned, able to SOE to castle, etc.) however, being in an alliance with a castle owning clan gives you a free pass to join Dawn during the competition period - in fact you have to join Dawn if even one clan in your alliance owns a castle.
3) Yes it is possible for one alliance to own all the castles, this has happened in the past, but it usually stretches the alliance very thin and makes it difficult to defend.

The alliances can work on all of them, but holding them all can be difficult. The clan that does hold it is the only one that truly benefits, but most alliances feel some trickle-down from it.

You can sit at one of those crystals in any town and watch the seige. All you need do is go to the messenger out the front of say Gludio castle, determine what time the seige will be, then at that time go to the broadcast crystal, choose the one you want to watch and pay about 50 adena.
You even get to read any white and orange chat thats going on there.
That should give you a much better feel for the game and some of the clans and alliances.
Alternatively you can sit in front of the main gate with the tag *Lionna.com reporter* ;)

then none of these ally are neutral, cause chaos helped them got gludio 2 sieges in a row now.
I am just quoting Devilstar, he knows from what we speak. You are in the exact situation that we had with chaos few months ago, and from Chaos point of view, this is not neutrality. Chaos came, clean up the field until you get the control of the crest room again and then leaved, so basically they give you the castle. 2 weeks ago, they escorted the leader in crest room, but we got it back in time.
yes you crested, then we came, clean up the castle and 1st legion leader start to recrest. Your force were not able to flush us until chaos came. Then they stayed until all of you take control of the crest room to be sure we cant crest back. Dont worry, what i was quoting was Devil statement, not our position about your neutrality. Was good fight anyway, enjoy your victory, we will meet again on Lionna's battlefields ;)
Lets not cheapen Infinity's effort to take Gludio today with all this Chaos/Inv stuff. Infinity did well to get 4 neutral alliances along to help them zerg Mirage.
It helped that noone signed for Dion which freed up 2 of the alliances.
Was a fun fight, lets keep Ying and Yang out of it please, sick of hearing about them.

And guys, take no notice of Wormlord. He is slightly deluded. As for wormlord and and anyone else I'll remind you what you once told a lot of us. Enemies are there to stop you achieveing your goal. You guys always said that Mirage wasn't helping Inv siege...just stopping your enemy achieveing it's goal. That is all that happened here lol.

I cna say for sure that Chaos was there but they wherent there for long at all, and I higly doubht what they did changed much at all, I killed Mirages only crester at least 3 times so, it wherent much they culd do, and have an dwarf running around in robes trying to crest is maby not the best idea :) Just a tip to next time ^^.
I also heard invi where there, didnt personaly see them thoght as I was in the throne room most of the time, but i heard they where on the flags outside aka not Mirages flag as they had only one clan who where capable to put one up and that flag was easely droped by us.
I belive on other hand if entire mirage had signed up to defend it and actually defended it from start the outcome wuld ben different :) due this we had some adventages that most of them needed to run from one town away.
I think Vendetta might of showed up at Gludio because they have a CH in Gludin and there was only 20 minutes left to seige - they could get there the fastest to kill more Inv. So GG to them. And congrats to Infinity for getting Gludio, sounds like you all had a great time.
and i can tell you if you trashtalk your not neutral thus i personally will see choosen alliance not as neutral anymore
Hello, I am coleader of Chosen and I will tell you that we had nothing to do with Chaos showing up and also if there was some trashtalking (I saw none), then it was done by a few overzealous people excited by the seige. I also would like to point out there where very few chaos there and that I doubt they influenced the outcome. I smell a double standard here, your ally has shown up at our seiges often times with some Invincible to "have fun" yet now that we are becoming active in seiges we have to walk some narrow path of behaviour. I say this to you and your alliance you simply lost Gludio and it was a good fight. Lets keep this fun and civil.

right after we took goddard i was told my friends in the neutral alliances that chaos had come to help them. This particular one was from infinity. I told TL and he told our noblesse to go have fun at gludio killing Chaos. Our people went because chaos showed up to help.

seriously ... how about NEUTRALS ARE NEUTRAL and not for either side. And some neutral clans may be against Mirage (or Chaos) (or Invincible) but not FOR the opposing side. (but trash talk is always bad and never reaps goodness)
Neutrals aren't even on each other's side. It's all in the 2 weeks of lobbying that happens in between seiges. It depends on the week and who wants to play shuffle-the-castles. To paraphrase the song "Girls just want to have fu-u-un!" And seiges are FUN.
Chaos showed up. Not like anyone can stop anyone from showing up if they want to crash a seige. All you can do is see if they're attacking you, or attacking your enemies and react accordingly. If they're attacking us, we attack them. If they're attacking our enemies, we leave them be.
Possibly you've never been part of a free-for-all Neutral castle seige where there are billions of clan and ally tags roaming around. MANY of these aren't signed for the seige, so you don't have the luxury of attacker/defender symbols. It's a full time job to track who's your friend and who's your enemy.
This was an easy one tho' ... we all supported Infinity (you guys REALLY need to get lessons in golems and cannon LMAO!). And Mirage was the defender, so that meant any Mirage or Invincible ally tags were enemy, everyone else was friend unless otherwise proven. Chaos didn't attack any Neutrals so had free run of the fields.
Last 20 minutes, Mirage started massing in Gludio using their clan halls there and pulling in some of exordium/1st Legion/Xpedition.
Chaos showed up. *bummer* We were all having great fun playing with Mirage and doing a pretty darned good job of it. They had the levels, we had the numbers. In fact when Chaos first came on the field, they were running around finding no living Mirage there and I watched several SOE out.
Then a few Invincible showed up, to attack Chaos (as the usual).
I honestly don't think Chaos made any difference. I moved to the cresting room after the doors went down again and helped keep it clear. Helped kill the cresting dwarf with other neutrals (shield stun FTW!). There was a nice skirmish taking place in the throne room proper with Mirage vs. everyone. The neutrals far outnumbered the Mirage. Chaos was there, hitting Mirage and the Invincible who started to trickle in.
I targeted Mirage (and then the few Inv. who showed). There were a hell of alot of clan and ally tags on the field ... the ones hitting us, were Mirage and Invincible. Those were the ones we hit back. If Chaos had started hitting us, I would have started hitting them back.
I ran to the balconies after the crest failed, helped kill Svitty(Mirage) who was sniping (very effectively) from the balconies ... Helped kill one or two Invincible who were supporting the recresting attempts. They really didn't have time to recrest at that point.
Wish Chaos and Invinc hadn't showed up (not many Invincible came, or not many made into the interior of the cresting room where I was). From what I saw, Invincible showed up to fight with Chaos. If Chaos hadn't come, Invincible wouldn't have come.
It was a GF and well fought by Mirage and all the neutrals involved. The last rush WAS close. But I don't think it would have happened given the amount of time left. If they had hit earlier, good chance because of the level differences. But they needed 5 to 10 more minutes.
You guys take these things way too serious. Fun siege, last 15 minutes screwed up by Chaos/Invincible. Oh well. Absolutely hilarious though at the start when we sent our level 40 nukers after mirage's a-grade. LOL. 1 damage, 1 damage, 1 damage...BAM...dead. So, for those of us that don't care who wins, fun siege.

That was funny. I learned a lot about my Golems at this siege. Have never really used them before. I think next time i use them will be much better. :o

That would be me ^^ ... no one's ever accused me of dealing massive damage, but me and kitty can and do provide a good distraction. And if a stun lands... heh heh heh. If we aren't handled we WILL get you (eventually). Sure! your coffee might be cold by that time, but DAMMIT! you'll fall eventually!

Great job guys and gals! I guess its true you really do get to know someone by fighting them. You all fought hard against a larger attacking force and showed alot of class. If not for a twist of fate that put me where I am today it would be a honor to fight along side you all.

We were rivals at the first Innadril seige and ever since then you all have been one of our most loyal supporters. It was great to finally return the favor. Let the spin doctors spin and the trash talkers trade flames. You all deserve to enjoy the victory...savor the moment.
All the politics, propaganda, and drama aside. This last month or so has been the most fun Ive had ingame in a long time. Hope its a trend of more good things to come and not a fleeting moment. I think most of you would echo the same.

CAN the neutral clusters of independent, uncoordinated and often uncomfortable temporary allies hold the field against one of the server powers-that-be. CAN billions of swarming mid-to-highish-levels win against a smaller force of uberness max-levels.
And then you guys roll in and steal our thunder ... or possibly save the bacon of the cresters depending on your POV. But we'll never know. So "NYAH!" ...
