I know this article is a little and old and I'm sure this has already been touched upon, but I didn't see a post through searching. Granted, I didn't look that hard.

Where does virtual gold come from? The answer is obvious in Lineage 2. It comes from the 9 man bot parties in the catacombs and the powerlevel'd/botted Farmer/Raid clans. No one plays this game manually for hours on end to sell what they earn online. If you do, God bless you, but you have problems.

If Richard Garriot buys virtual gold (which can also be called Farmed Gold), how can we expect them to do anything about the farmers? By supporting the sale of online adena sales, you are supporting the farmers, the 3rd party programs and the cheaters.

Discuss please.

Wh
Blah blah blah...

We've heard this before. Uproar then, expect uproar now.
Already been discussed, wasn't the name wrong altogether anyway?
Old article, his brother was the person who actually said it. That and he was referring to another game entirely with different rules (see Sony Exchange, gold being sold directly by the company). Neither he nor his brother have anything to do with L2 these days, and they didn't have any hand in the design of it originally as it was made by NC Korea.

That's as much of a summary as I want to write about this...again.

Do you have a link to the first time this was posted?

Also, whether or not they had anything to do with the design of Lineage 2 is irrelevant. An executive producer for Lineage 2 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Garriott ) supports online sales of "virtual gold". His brother is (was?) the President of NCNA. It is a reflection on the whole company.

But I won't comment anymore until I find the other post and read up a little more. I'm sure I don't have all the information.

Search is your friend.....
you are the Tool of the Day.

first of all, that would be the NC CEO's brother and NOT the CEO himself.

he developed his own online game Tabula Rasa and although he isnt ENDORSING buying game money, he doesnt condone it.

so lay off the peanut butter sammiches man, they are makin you paranoid. then go back to farming and shove that YEARS old interview somewhere i wont say.
There were several other threads as well, but Populater got the main point across better than I could.

It seems that what some of you want, is for a Corporation to regulate it's employees Opinions. That is not only bad, but wrong... It's.. Ba****.
