Move slow. Hit very hard and have a lot of Hit points. Move... ****... slow (I'm going to be subbing a destroyer so I'm starting to collect the appropriate potions :p )

Slow Run speed (Even buffed) If it runs away, your probably never going to catch it unless it's a mage...who hasn't slowed you yet.

Leveling speed can be fast if you can get a pole and do some AOE groups. Otherwise you level like pretty much every other melee with or without buffs. (Only thing that levels slower is a dwarf who isn't doing AOE.)
^ Thank you very much to both of you.
On the other hand, destroyers are the only class that made archers cry when they picked up a bow and did way more damage then the archer ever could....

Unfortunately, that gets nerfed in c5 :(
I leveled a Dwarf with polearm pulling whole rooms (of white/green mobs) in catacombs (4x mobs) from 40 to 56 in about 2 weeks. I think I was averaging about 1 level per hour up to about 50 or so then it dropped to 1 level every 4 hours at around 55. All it takes is VR3 and finding an area of the catacombs that you can pull mobs from one and preferably two rooms (the rooms you want are the ones with 8 mobs per room). I haven't leveled past 56 poling so I don't know how hard it gets. But, the next XP jump is getting to level 61, so my guess is that you could continue getting 1 level every 4 hours up to level 60, then it will take longer. Additionally, I'm not sure if there are good rooms to pull mobs poling solo above about level 65.

Leveling a Destroyer this way will be faster with the improved Patk and skills (Primarily VS & Rage from my testing with an Orc Raider).

Question for Destroyers: is there any good way to do AoE poling with Frenzy / Guts? If so, how do you manage the HP?

Question for 60+ Destroyers: can you still XP poling with VR3+ solo?

Poling is the most fun I've ever had leveling in L2.

Unfortunately, that gets nerfed in c5

are you kiding me, thats a very good thing.

C5 meens the cost of bows will go down cause alot of class wont beable to uses them as effectively as they where before!

and destro with a Bow in C5 was mad over powered, they where the 4th archer class the orcher.

Perhaps but I liked the fact that a non ranged class could get a ranged character for once. That is one option you no longer have in c5 and I fear that the ranged classes will still be master of all the slowpokes like the destroyer.
