This is so far away for me right now, but I still like to think about it.
Anyways, in looking at this, and the limits of the sub-class thing, I am wondering if being a BD may not be the best sub for the first one. Reasoning is that they seem to level so quickly and can find parties even easier.
I was wondering if anyone else out there has thought about what they would sub-class as and why they are going that way....
I also thought about being a WC as my first Sub-class since I am an OL now and I shouldn't have that much trouble re-learning everything, but then I would think it would be just like being an OL from the grind point of view.
I will be subclassing destroyer. I like the Melee "way", swinging a sword, not being brittle and seeing large chunks of your hitpoints go down if a mob touches you. I like that destroyers do large chunks of damage and that they have a lot of hitpoints.
Might not be the fastest leveler but I play to have fun, not to "rush through it". Wouldn't be able to play a class that I didn't enjoy.

Destroyer can use a pole...and be an incredibly fast leveling player then.

Subclass necro! They can beat any melee wacking on them with their sword! Well they have problems with tanks... but others they pwn.

Tokara: My thought is that the SH should have also slowed you.
If I ever meet you in the arena I'll keep your "chain stunning talents" in mind
my advice to you, if u ever meet me in arena or pvp.. Run away run FAR away, SH only hope of beating me is to land silence in a 1v1 self buffed or standard buff contest.
If you start a drain even if they run like hell it'll still go off. Our two stormscreamers that have both been hero (as well as the mystic muse and cardinal) complain about that quite loudly on a regular basis.. lol. At least it has any time I've watched them.

Ask mortire he gave up in olypiad cause of me
Then I will enjoy learning the same lesson ;)
Think that's the glove slap right there.
Only so much as the Olympiad is concerned. I have nothing but respect for Tokara and his accomplishments (and the lvls he has on me  )

Subclassing a class you enjoy is a rarity on our server. Most people sub nukers or popular support classes so Noble doesn't seem so far away.
If you're in it for Noble then I'd say Necro/BD/SwS.
I went Phantom Summoner, probably enjoy it out of any of my other played classes. Sure it means Noble is about 10 months or even more away, but i'll enjoy those months a lot. :)

and I have the utmost respect for sov, He is a very generous man, I will never forget the money he gave to a down on his luck noob (me) back in C2ish
We just are playing around^^
on the subclass thing I enjoyed my bd immensily, yes it was a lvling class but I went threw many diff classes before picking
Sovrath using a pole is a great way to level destroyer. The problem is you have to have a group of dedicated players that will do a pole party with you. The typical pole party setup I prefer is 2 poles (warlord or other destroyer great team btw) a wc (after all battleroar is as good as btb and you can reuse it midway through buffs,) EE for heals and anti-stun buff, a bd is a must for those awesome crits, and then whoever else you want to bring along. Believe it or not OL are great at pole parties with their aoe skills. Cant tell you how valuable they are in a pole party just wish more of were around. A second healer is also great to bring along.
During pole parties always go to places where the mobs are green or light blue to you. You can do white mobs, but you cant drag as many and they suck up the healers mp big time. If a room has aggro and no aggro get the aggro first by running around the room. Once they are dead get the nonaggro but dont get cornered. There really is an art to it, but it is extremely fun and profitable. I jumped from 62-65 in a week and a half at GC doing pole parties.
The only problems with pole parties is that not everyone is aware of how great they are. Once you get people into one they are usually hooked and will want to join in everyday. So find your group and hopefully they will come everyday to grind. If you have questions about it just look for the destroyer running around with Davy Jones over his head and I will answer as best I can.
yeah a word form the wise decide what you want first fun or nobless.
I originally subclassed a destoryer had a grp a friends who were willign to party me for said pole parties (sws,bh,ee,pp{dual boxed},se) that had just past 40 themselves. Leveled withthem till I hit 48 then the group stopped loggin on at the same time etc. I relaizzed while I wanted to playa mellee class (enjoy) I also wanted to be nobless. So after breaking my SOM goign to +4 I sold my lance and my bop and bought a +10 homunc cancelled my destroyer and subbed necro.
Nearly 75 atm and couldn't be happier.
This seems like a good way to do it and doesn't seem to need a huge amount of people.
edit: Nah... necro really isn't for me. I'm not one to have to deal with a pet AND myself. Don't like the little shuffling zombie guy... he looks stupid (though the cursed Man does look pretty kick [censored]).
I really just want to have my toon heft a giant sword of Doom, swinging it wildly and jumping into the fray.
And since I have absolutely no problems soloing, it won't matter in the end if I can put together a pole party or not (though I will try as it does sound like fun as well as profitable).

I was able to easily and very quickly level a warsmith to 56 exclusively in the catacombs running groups of 4 to 8 mobs and poling them. I had 62+ SE buffs out-of-party. The only downtime I had was waiting for the rooms to respawn. In most cases I was able to keep 2 to 3 rooms cleared.
I think a Destroyer will be much more effective than a warsmith at poling due to the improved skill set. So, I would have thought it would be easy to get a solo Destroyer to level 65 at least using this method. I can't say beyond that level. In my case, my SE will hit level 72 (hence VR4) by the time my SH hits 75 (unless I stop partying the good-for-nothing parasite in my final grind to 75). I would assume that VR4 will make it noticably easier to pole groups.
Like Sovrath, I plan to sub Destroyer. However, I have also thought long and hard about Necro sub (especially since I will have all the right gear for that class)... I'm probably a month away from having to make a decision anyway so I just wait and see.
Yeah my biggest reason was money. I have made over 100mil lvling my Necro sub while using Death Spike almost exclusivly. I already had a demon set/avadon / and DC so it was alot cheaper the whole way. I have to agree with most ppl that mages are the money maker class. 1 thing though most of my guild parties in catacombs, or raids in the rift. I hardley ever party now since I feel I would be to much of a drag (Dark resist). On raid bosses whoever they do enjoy the curse gloom, and your summons with ss can pack quite a whallop.
Sov yeah I am on Hinde. My title is Davy Jones for ****net and giggles. Saw someone with Capt JackSparrow so I couldnt resist. Others know me as Gorthol lol.

completely agree
i lvled my necro useing nothing but death spike and made a ton of cash
i think at 70+ you'd really want to be a H.E though, i see those guys 1 hitting mobs a necro can barely touch
