depends on mobs and how much you'd solo
kris/focus + soulcry is awesome (but you wont be able to have buffs and use soulcry)...
otherwise dama/focus is very good
I'd recommend you witch doctors w/ you uber mdef they are cakewalk...
Stanimir: I will indeed likely not have the MP for soulcry - I doubt the regeneration outlasts it when I have to self-buff. :/ Of course, weapon masteries still work better for a kris or dama/aoba than for a GS, but I can't really expect to put soulcry on a lot, I think.
MetalSiren: Isn't the AoBA's damage significantly lower than that of a focus weapon? Have you experiemented with something else? :) Thanks!
in early 50s you may need to even rest depending how many chants/drains you use (BW helps a bit). If you are fine to have some downtime - smoke, hotchat, doggy, husband, well any break. Kris/focus rocks w/ soulcry (soulcry is terribly good w/ the hero dagger...) but you may need some mp, save mp on evasion. And again: use robes and fight magic dealing mobs at high 50s you can kill witch doctors W/O soulshots (esp if you can switch PL/BW, PL works very well on magic mobs too)... I recommend you a shield w/ any one handed since no evasion (aside buff), shield doesnt help against magic but anyways. Dama is quite expensive on most servers due to horrible drop rate of the recipe. (sls*tsu+5 (or kris+5) is actually cheaper...)
And again soulcry works best w/ daggers. It's pure waste on any 2handed (so are the masteries... [masteries add flat amount of pattack])
Blunts are terrible idea PvE unless dark red mobs (even worse idea solo), I'd rather turn SC on than use any stun. SC is very attractive if you have CH buffs, a lot of mp to spare.
If you need spare blunt for stun: spirit staff/mental shield (got the picture?)

depending on regen set or not, but most likely you will do one buff round with one without. But what really matters if your fighting mobs that stun. If they stun you and you have soul cry on then its gg. for ol more then any other class...fighting mobs that stun alot sux (not cuz u die cuz it kills your mp)
btw GS is the biggest POS weapon ever. Seriously unless you have 2 handed masteries dont use it on your orc. Damascus focus is my 2nd choice to focus kris.
crit kris>crit damascus>crit duels>crit blunt>haste duels>haste blunt> hp blunt

And for me the other problem is... the price of Kris!! So **** expensive! :| I was thinking of buying Avadon robes cause of low cost but... Im really curious about BW light... is it worth it? :p
What about doom robes? They should offer fairly interesting advantages (on a whole - of course the cast speed is a bother, but meh) for an orc soloing on nuking mobs. :)
And of course, nuking mobs have the huge advantage of not stunning. X3
personally unless ur soloing nuking mobs (in which case PL is the natural choice). Bw light is the best. Almost bw robe regen, close to heavy p def good cast speed. U don't have a massive mp bank so you will have to buff ur buffs over a period of time but thats not really a problem
can someone explain the exact maths behind how kris is better than duals or a 2 hander ?
a +5 kris has 175 patk roughly, while tsu*sls+5 is like 270, does really the kris hit nearly twice as fast ?
Im currently using full plate set + raid*spirit+4 focus, cant make up my mind as to what to go for once i hit 52 (i think i should be able to get most top B, as im using manor all the time + not using soulshots) but looking at the numbers kris+5 looks like a DOWNGRADE to my current weaps, so im a bit worried about going that route
edit: i should add that when i read "solo" and talk about it myself, i mean WITHOUT any form for buff bots, i mean completely solo.
Seen threads in the past about ppl saying the soloed to 78, and giving advice to others, then it turns out they have had SEVERAL buff bots, making all the advice rather moot for ppl that actually solo
Not sure if the kris/focus path is based on using soulcry and will only work if you use soul cry, and is also based on having buff bots ?
