I don't go to hunt in Catacombs from C3, so i wanted to ask if it is still possible to make weapon exchenge with Mammon, as before, among same level weapons (expl: exchange a pole for same level bow), and untill which grade weapon.
In C3 you could do this, but only till first grade C weapons, i think.
Depends on what server you're on because mammon comes only every other week. His rotation is random but he likes some places more than others. Go go random number generator.
ah. im on erica, but that whole random path thing is potentially terrible. is there a suggested way for learning his locations? oh, also this is the week where he is out and about, to my knowledge.
how often does he rotate around the catacombs? i was told i would find him at the entrance, and have been waiting at HC for about an hour and a half.
Sorry if this is a nub question, first character here.
Both the Blacksmith and the Merchant stay for about 20 minutes in my experience. They appear in the Lobby, and often against the outer wall, so they are hard to see from outside. You really need to be at the inside Gatekeeper to be sure they aren't there. They do shout an announcement when they arrive and when they leave.
Whether they 'rotate' or 'move randomly' from dungeon to dungeon is not aggreed upon; some say they have a fixed rotation, others say it is random. There do seem to be two of each active at the same time.
On gustin, our hero's try to keep us informed as to the mammon locations in hero chat. occasionally they will ask if anyone knows then will put it in hero chat where they are. If you look at the hero monument you can get the current hero names and maybe try pm'ing a couple of them to ask them to do this for you. It sure helps :)
Another option is to PM a hero and ask them to shout for Blacksmith and merchant locations. The hero population on hindemith is usually willing to shout and attach your name asking them to pm you with locations.
I usually run from catacomb to catacomb, using scroll tricks and dawn priest teleports can make checking most of the catacombs relatively fast and cheap (I leave the few that are expensive to teleport to and/or are to far away to run to until last, I usually dont have to check them at all).
I have never had to check a catacomb twice while looking for him. The merchant is slightly more trouble as there are more necropoli (necropolises?).
