Thats ok with me as long as the drops are just as good as last time. Was just thinking though I popped over 50 of those large pumpkins last time and never did get a soul crystal higher than lvl 10. Hoping for a high lvl one this time.
I love the event!! Pollen started dropping about 1 hour earlier than expected, and by the end of the night I had enough for 2 big ones.. I popped them and got (on both of them):
red 9, blue 9, blue 10, 4 EADs, 2 EACs, 18 GHP, 18 GMHP, 9 Swift Attack pots, 9 QHP and 8 A crys..

You know, I see this a bit differently. I think it is appropriate that there be some way for folks who are not in the top clans to get these crystals. If they come occasionally, even if rarely, through events, I think that is a good thing.

/signed - I am not in a large clan and it is difficult to organize groups for Raid Bosses. With that said, we made it twice to Lilith only to find it camped by two very large groups of RB farmer clans. :( This was very frustrating as I had spent several weeks, off and on, creating level 10 crystals (I had 14 ready to go). After the two failed runs I ended up selling all but 1 of the crystals. That one level 10 crystal is still sitting in my WH gathering dust.

I dont see why...to get A grade it requires a group to get toi blueprints and key mats. To get any of the high level stuff it requires teamwork and so should soul crystals. Either way about it they should never be available as event drops.
Yeah and look where ToI blueprints have gotten some of us. Nowhere! You waste hours upon hours, even weeks collecting one set and your repaid with 1 design. Woohoo! On Hindemith A grade helms have jumped anywhere from 2-4x in price and you need 160-180mil for Nightmare/Majestic helms.
Considering the number of farmers camping raid bosses, even bigger clans and alliances, its getting to be almost impossible for others to get a chance at Stage 11 and 12 crystals. I say make it rare but not impossible. I would like to apply an SA on my Tallum Glaive before I hit level 78. :p

It does not require groups to get blueprints or to get key mats for A grade. I got everything I need for A grade in duos including blueprints. I gave my blueprints away to a clan member so I don't have A armor yet. But I do have A weapons and jewelry, with all recipes and key mats acquired and crafted myself.
Raid Bosses are clearly a way for large, organized groups to acquire A and S grade items easier than the quest / craft route. It is crazy that at the moment they are the ONLY way to get level 11-13 crystals.

this whole game is a grind for mats/gear/levels, thats how it is and they are not going to change it.
It cost 50 to Make a Large one, you have to Feed it 5 to make it grow up. It cost 1 to make a small one, Feed it 5 to make it grow.
Does anyone remember from the Pumpkin event if the high quality small pumpkins produced the same items (just fewer) as the high quality large pumpkins?
You can make 9 small squashes (54 pollen) for about the same as 1 large squash (55 pollen). Odds of getting high quality on several of the smalls is much higher than getting it on the large so I'm wondering if it is better to make lots of smalls or fewer large.
Last time, I found that the quality of items that come out of Large Pumpkins were far superior to the small ones. I tested about 20 small ones and ended up doing close to 20 Large ones. I don't think I got any B Enchants from small ones, And I definately didn't get any SA Crystals.

I see ppl buy it for 45k and sell it for up to 75k :9
so 55x 50k = 2500k+ adena maybe thats the best way to get some here :)
There 14 hours of grinding done today >< gah I'm soo tired.... The loot thoght nothing I wuld hurray for, teh EWA is nice the rest is worth nothing kind of.

Also watched a ton of peopels open there pumpkins, and no indication of any higher lv soul crystals ><, guess I never gonna get my SA gah. Also I did read on chat channel that someone clamed to get an ant queen ring from it, but how true this is I duno.
From a total of 6 small squashes, only two of which were high quality:
18 Greater Haste Potions
2 Greater Swift Attack Potions
6 Magic Haste Potions
1 Enchant Armor C Scroll
1 Enchant Weapon C Scroll

LOL this remmember me about last event, some nuker didnt want to stop nuke my pumpkin :P that ended up to be my first PK on my main ^^.

Yes, same happened to me :( (4 Acrys + 9 GSAP)

Yes, I chose a not so popular spot to open them. There was one guy that followed us begging for pollen. Wouldn't go away so I PK'd him. Better safe than sorry I say.
As much as I have complained about the drop rates (I've gotten 20 pollen so far, and I've grinded pretty heavily), I bought 2 large squashes today and got an EWA, woot!
Also, I bought a strengthened long bow to just spam my EWD's on and all 5 succeeded, another woot! as my lvl16 alt is hitting d-grade soon.
I bought elven rings to spam my EAD's and got one to +7 before it popped. Too bad I was so enchant happy I didn't even check it's mdef.

I have opened 4 large and 10 small. Lots of D/C armor enchants and a couple B. Lots of QHP/GMHP/GSAP and a couple A crystals. No sould crystals at all.
Have figured out that selling Pollen is much more profitable.

Out of all I have seen there is always 4 a grade crystals if they drop. Regarldess of size/type. So far 16 pumpkins done personally and always 4 a grade crystals when they come. Other reports seem to validate this. Of course we will see with other posters.
I've seen it vary, from 1 or 4 a grade crystal out of a small low quality..
frankly i've found that majority of the time, small low quality dropps USUALLY 90% of the time, very little stuff and very low quality stuff.
ONLY on occasion have i've ever seen good.. GREAT stuff (in low amounts) come out of a low quality small, or seen LOTS of low quality stuff come out of a low quality small.
Doing pumpkin event on the pts (where drop rates were so insane, that smashing open a pumpkin would get you a nectar drop lol), i can safely say that getting 4 A grade crystals and a stage 11 crystal is VERY possible from a single low quality small pumpkin.

If NCsoft would only bring the medal event back! Long before we had our weapons we got the SA crystals through that event. It would be the best thing for everything (imho).
We've been sitting on a few lvl12 Red, Greens and Blue since the last medal event. The pointy part hurts my bum. :D
I can say from opening 3 large ones, and factoring in the time it took to farm the pollen, it would have been far more lucrative to Sell off the pollen. At the going rate on kain It would have made over 8 million Adena. I think I'm gonna sell all my pollen from here on out.

Its not all about the money...my favorite part is actually breaking the pumpkin and guessing what I might get, nothing better than getting an ewa or something for suprise
I agree the event this time is not as profitable as last time. But I like the event because its fun to pop the squash and see what you get. It's part of what keeps me playing this game always having the chance to get something special when im out hunting. Even though it's only a .0000346 chance of getting anything cool.
I did though enjoy getting 2 B wep enchants from poor quality small squash.
I've only got pots (various) and 4 a grade crystals. Because of limited drop of pollen I've been unable to collect enough for a large one and I refuse to buy them.
On another note there are rumours that some people (on Gustin) have had A grade weapons or armour (can't remember which) dropped. Is this true or just a rumour. Only curious.
My clan and i have been saving our pollen all during the short event, and last night we had enough pollen to make 35 large squash. I know its alot, but we farmed hard core over the weekend. Well we didnt get jack from any of them. ONly thing we got worth anything is the QHP and some enchante B grade weapone/armor scrolls. Thats all after all our hard work we ended up with like 30 D grade enchante scrolls. I just think we should have got something worth wild, but i guess we were just not lucky.
I made 27 Large ones and I got a grand total of the following items :
EAD : 44 pcs.
EWD : 12 pcs.
EAC : 17 pcs.
EWC : 10 pcs.
EAB : 5 Pcs.
EWB : 2 pcs.
EAA : 1 pcs.
I used a total of 55*27 pollen = 1.485 pcs. = 37.185.000a
Selling the above stuff would bring me like = 44.000.000a
So its not that good business... but its fun :)
now... my new problem is ENOUGH STORAGE
and yes I'm still hooked... I'v just bought enough pollen to make 16 large ones... but this time I bought the pollen for 17,5k each :) I Wonder what I get this time :)
