I give high marks on the preview section. It gives the much needed bone chillying feel of what it means to be Lineage.

The music is right on with the feel it should give the viewer, but it doesn't play long enough to give the viewer time to look around the site. It just doesn't Loop the way it should.
I'm hoping others post their comments about the preview site also.
I think its nice. Well done, but yeah its should have more content. Only thing negative I can point to. Otherwise, its a good first effort. I hope we get more of these in future chronicles.

Thx alot! I'm 100% sure OL is a defensive type mage :). The class can't touch INT tats like offensive mages can and even in c4 the OL icon reads something like "Defensive type Mage". Oh yea, here is the Korean translation of the same picture, brought to you by Hellrose :)
Off the subject a bit Mistryl...well not really. I think the summary for the new pvp is a little deceptive. While a lot of classes do get new skills to combat their counter-parts, some don't. Like dwarves and warlords. They will never be able to efficently beat anyone, due to not having a strong skill list. :( Unless skills were added that we don't know about. BH,WS and WL remain basically the same as they are now. No hope to kill Knights or OL/WC.
I disagree, OL's can beat almost any class 1vs1...even in Mass PVP they can kill more than most melee.
Sure an OL can kill any ONE person at near complete MP usage. Which incidentally is 1 more than most melee get in kills. :O
Why if your lucky you might even get two!
Yes, yes we all know that as long as an OL can keep spamming Steal Essense they can pretty much "own" any other char in 1vs1....as long as their MP holds out.
Once the MP is gone (and it doesn't take long at all!) they only about as good as another mystic in melee combat...Next to Nil compared to 'real melee' chars.
Wait! What about 1 vs Many? Isn't the Ol supposed to be an "uber" AOE character?! So how come you never hear of an OL pwning entire GROUPS of enemies?........lets see....they can only kill 1-2 enemies before running completely out of MP and gimping themself....but thats just like 1vs1 isn't it, so that can't be it. Ah! Lets make it 1 vs Many only against Melees!......er no....same thing. Against Dwarves only?......frak, even worse! They have too much HP/CP!
Soooooo...the only thing that OL's can claim to be over-powered for is a very short term pvp against 1 or two people. (At the most.) And if its 1 vs 2 (at once) there is a good chance the 2 might win anyway.
So I guess you could say that an OL is like trying to PK a Bishop...except the OL trades their MP for the chance to kill the attacker (few of them) instead of just negating their damage for longer. (More effecient use of MP.) ....hey Defensive Healer VS Offensive Healer...where did I see that before?
In short. Not overpowered. IS Balanced. And complainers are whiny little biznatches who don't like their rerolled FoTM getting the smackdown by something other than another FoTM. (As indicated by OL's NOT ever being a FoTM much less as heavily played as any other 'healers', 'buffers' or 'mages'.)
I found a error on the site, overlord is listed under of DD mages when he is a defensive mage.
1vs1 an OL, might change your mind :)
They are cake with riposte stance and plus they were given a mana burn type skill like all the other defensive mages. Its a typo.

They can't beat classes who deflect debuffs sorry. They can try to chain drain, but with the classes who have high cp/hp or mdef this doesn't work to well. Even worse in c5 since steal essence costs 30% more. Want to know what happens when a OL trys to chain debuff me? I deflect half of them and most of the time the most important ones like suspension.
