I seem to find myself spamming in giran "50 sps LFG to do anything" day in and day out. I am a member of a smaller clan and just recently returned to the game. I only have a few active friends that arent really near my level so its very difficult for me to get people together to go raid or do ANYTHING. It is very discouraging. So after spamming in giran for 30-40m i go grind for a hour before i get terribly bored. I started playing L2 for the pvp but i get instantly pwnd by some lvl 70 everytime i try to go pvp, so here is the question, what do you guys do for fun when your level 50, cant get a group together, and are sick of grinding???
Most of what I do for fun involves making the grind more fun. An event is going on right now, so that makes it easy. One thing I do is race a friend of mine to see how fast we can accumulate event drops, usually a match to 11 with a 2 point lead needed for the win.
If you keep getting destroyed by level 70s, I'd suggest attempting to PvP during the grind itself. When soloing I'll often take a shot at rude people, or sometimes just a random person hunting nearby. Often they'll fight back, and regardless of who wins it's always a fairly close match as they're near the level I am. Around the 60s a death isn't too bad for either of you, so they're normally not too mad. A couple have yelled that they're putting me on a KoS list after I've won, but thus far no squads have arrived to take me out (which is a little disappointing as that would be fun). On an off day a visit to the arena can be fun, though I expect to be obliterated by high levels often.
I've also recently picked up an odd habit thanks to the auto SS command of C3. I'm not sure if you can play with one hand as an sps, but when the grind really gets to me I usually grab a paperback book and read it while grinding (holding it up next to the screen so I can see what my character is doing). While it has gotten me killed a couple times it definitely takes the edge off.
The most important thing however, is having a good friend to talk to while you play. If you have people you can hold normal conversations with while playing it immediately enhances the game for you. Thanks to MSN being built into the game the person doesn't even need to be playing.
If nothing works, I'd suggest taking a month off from the game. If you really enjoy L2 you'll be back and several things that have become dull will be more interesting. Of course this might damage your friend list, as you may not find everyone still around when you return.
In any case, good luck out there and have fun with it.

Haha wish I could concentrate that well to be able to read while leveling. I think I would delevel before I finished the book :p
I love to multitask. My record thus far is playing L2 while reading Dune (the first one), watching TV, holding a conversation, and listening to some Japanese audio to work on my pronunciation. Maybe one day I'll be able to do all that while eating dinner.
The only problem with it is that I sometimes think the person I'm having a converastion with is doing the same things I am. So I'll randomly bring up things about the book or show I'm watching and expect them to know what I'm talking about.
Do things with a goal in mind, or with no goal at all. But set your mind to what your going to do then do it. That way you don't feel like you just wandering aimlessly in game when solo.
