greetings..... havent see l2 community for a long long time..... hows it goin? go0d? thats great.
i havent play l2 for centuries...... busy in reality world.... yes i do have life. anyway my family plays l2..... they want to kno how to create crest? i have no idea myself since i never create my own clan.
is there a stock crest design where we choose or we can create our own? and how do we do it? and when we click get crest... a window pops up witha blank bar we need to fill... do we put the url address of the picture we want to make a crest out of it? well can someone jus tell full info on crest?

As the file will need to be in your L2 System folder, the file name should look something like this.
C:\Program Files\Lineage II\System\Crest.bmp
Of course that could change depending on whether you've moved the game files around or not, but all you'd need to do is check Properties on the file to get a full listing of the file name.
It's been a while since I've added a clan crest, but I believe the game may check for the file name itself (which is why it makes you put it in the system folder). If what I said above does not work then simply input
Crest.bmp
or whatever the name of your crest is when prompted for the file name.
heres what i did.... i put the file to the lineage2 system folder... and what i need now is the location right? so i click property on the file.... and get the location... now i open lineage2.... and click set crest... it shows a window poping up with a bar... i type the location to it and click ok... it wont work! oh by the way the location is C:/program Files/Lineage II/system and tahts it.... no .bmp or whatsoever... am i doing it right?
You need to add the name of the file itself and .bmp, properties doesn't list that part as it's assumed. So if the file you're trying to add is Crest.bmp you add that to the end of it.
And like I said before, if the full file name doesn't work just type in the Crest.bmp part. According to Mistryl's link that should work fine if the file is in your System folder.
ok after i click on the official crest guide from mistral.... it link me to warcry pre-made crest.... i save one in the lineage2 system folder... the file is jpeg.... so do i must type sumthin like this?
Maybe you'll find it easier to put the image directly in your C drive. So you'll have to type C:\image.bmp (it has to be a bmp). The \ will probably look like that funky W.
A file name like that would work, however the crest needs to be a .bmp file. You can open that .jpeg in any image editting program and click Save As and choose .bmp 256 color format in order to change it.
Maybe you'll find it easier to put the image directly in your C drive. So you'll have to type C:\image.bmp (it has to be a bmp). The \ will probably look like that funky W.
have to be bmp? i got the pre-made crest from warcry.... thought its gonna be complete.... still i must change it to bmp file myself? to do that i must use sum photo editing program am i not right?
1. From warcry save it to your desktop.
2.copy and paste it to paint
3.save it as image.bmp
4. put it in your c drive . Namte it your clan name, easy to remeber.
5. go to your crest set function under you character in game
6.type in this c:\folder name\image.bmp
